I too am disappointed that Hadley or Proud haven’t even been given a chance this series and agree with comments about Moloney not being a long term C option.

When NT took the reins she experimented with players and combinations and she wasn’t afraid to lose. I am disappointed that although we took 18 players to the NZ we haven’t really explored the potential of the squad.

We know what Weston and Bruce can deliver so why not give Jenner a go? I also hope to see JLP or Charles get some time in C.

Yeah the depth of the squad really hasn’t been explored and that will be the team’s downfall in the future because they have no idea what the capabilities of alternative combinations could have been. Moloney definitely not a long term option so I would have liked to see Produ or Hadley or even JLP get some solid court time. Also Jenner at GD and Keonan at GA.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Hadley/Proud are injured. And SM (the whole team actually) is keeping a tight lid on it, as they may not want the public using this as an excuse to them winning or not.
Cause I really don’t see any other reason, besides from favouritism, why they haven’t been used 🤷‍♂️

Austin struggling to work herself into the circle with weak drives, she’s stuck outside and not getting much support from Moloney either.

I wouldn’t doubt favourtism, I struggle to believe that both Proud and Hadley are injured.

Scoreline is flattering at the moment to Aus. Koenen needs to body up more to make her space clear. Moloney is hesitant on the feed.

I doubt that both Hadley and Proud are injured and they are afraid of using it as an excuse. Proud has never played for Australia so her missing is not why Australia has lost two tests. Hadley has never established herself as starting 7.

I know people find Weston’s attack poor but Bruce is just as bad. Except she barges in and crowds the midcourt cutting off her teammates leads. Needs to sit back and stop trying to do too much.

Weston has started well. Providing great cover for her circle defenders and giving them a chance to attack the ball. Always sets her teammates up so well doing the hard underrated stuff.

Great start Austin. But I can’t help feel NZ want the play going through her. Ask her to shoot it out. Show them you can do it Kiera. Then they’ll double you and it’ll open Koenen.
