So, we're not too far away now from the start of @SuperNetball for 2021. What match are you most looking forward to in round one? pic.twitter.com/GpXzaSMcCB

Not going to lie but i am super excited about having SSN on our screens now to join VNSL and ANZP. Also – yay for the organisers to give us finally a grand final rematch to start the season!
I am way too focused on the netball tonight instead of my own game shortly!
The teams are in for the opening round of the 2021 Suncorp Super Netball season. Check out who'll be taking to the court this weekend.

Alice Teague-NeeldAre they only allowed to name teams of 10?
Yes, only 10. I was hopeful when they retained rolling subs they’d keep game day squads of 12 to capitalise on the rolling subs. But not to be. Some quality TPs that we may not get to see this year.
Very disappointing. There are a few young players in this year’s comp who are established players now, ONLY because there were teams of 12 last year!
John Cain Arena looking good- beginning to fill up already.
Fever dresses are VERY green – no chance of clashing (with anything!)
Stacey Francis on the bike looking like she’s heading home – some serious effort !!
Also no WYC and ANL converting to a one week ANC would have been enough IMO to justify the extra cost to carry 12 players. Limited playing opportunities for the under 21 cohort that don’t have SSN contracts unfortunately (I know they are in discussions about a 21 series with NZ later in the year). I’m sure we will see some due to injuries but overall not as much as last year.
Downloaded the updated netball live app on the promise of team lineups before the game. Not sure they’ve quite nailed the starting line ups….

That’s a shame. Vixens had more chance the other way. Could have been entertaining. At least they had a shooter and ex shooter shooting for them.
Kumwenda in C!?
Kinda excited for this. Let’s go!
1/4 time: Fever 16-12
Kumwenda 9/9 (100%)
Stanton 3/4 (75%)Fowler 13/13 (100%)
Teague-Neeld 2/4 (50%)Good battle. Some real rusty first game errors from both teams. Vixens held a 10-8 lead before several turnovers against them saw Fever take over.
