The Delta variant is weak. Notice how there has been no deaths yet? Don’t hear that reported on the news at all.

It might be classed as weak in the wealthy world, but clearly in the 3rd world it’s not.

Great effort from Cara Koenan, she scored the same amount as JFR.

Koenen is so great to watch. Definitely a shoe-in for the starting GS for the Diamonds. And her combo with Wood gives Wood a great opportunity to be starting GA.

Believe it or not we are in the 1st world here. Draconian lockdowns are not the way.

3 turnovers each from Petty and Nankivell in the 1st Quarter…

Nankivell has such a bright future and could be in the Diamonds wider squad but she really needs to work on her turnover consistency.

                      1/4 time: Firebirds 14-12

                      Potgieter 10/10, Horjus 2/3
                      Aiken 9/11, Bueta 4/4

Tbirds 9 turnovers and Firebirds 7! Rather scrappy but that just means there’s a lot end to end action. You feel as if Firebirds could be further in front, but Tbirds gutsy.

Firebirds 20-18. Well, this match is certainly something. So much chaotic action.

I think the Battle of the Birds is always chaotic which makes it entertaining 😱 but also somewhat frustrating if you’re a fan hoping for your team to settle down.

                            1/2 time: Firebirds 29-27

                            Potgieter 21/21, Horjus 6/8
                            Aiken 18/21, Bueta 10/11

What a crazy match. 31 turnovers already. So much happened in that Q and yet it ended up 15-15. Whichever team can actually sort themselves out will go on to win this.

Firebirds have had the better of the third Q. Now up by 7. Shamera Sterling currently has just one gain and 1.5 NNP. That is unheard of!

After a dominant 3rd Q, Firebirds led by 10. That lead now back to 8 early in the last Q. Can Tbirds make a comeback?
