Well, it’s consistent. First Q was Vixens12-11. Second Q was Vixens12-11. Defences well on top. Weston and Ward are everywhere for their teams. Shooting % keeping Magpies closer.

Finally, the attack kicked into gear, especially Magpies who had just 4 turnovers in that Q after giving up 19 in the first half. Shimona Nelson with 16/16 in that Q.
Good win for Magpies. The Mentor/Ward combo in the end proved the difference. Shooting % also crucial. Vixens actually put up 4 more shots. They had 12 misses during the game and of those, they could only take 1 rebound. Magpies got 6. Molly Jovic had a good game as well.
A top quality game so far. Both teams working quite well in attack, certainly in contrast to the first match. Great battles everywhere, like Proud v Price and Hadley v Parmenter.
