Bruce on the other hand is having a ripper of a 2nd Q. Fever 25-16.
1/2 time: Fever 34-25
Fowler 30/30, Teague-Neeld 3/3
Potgieter 15/15, Gooden 3/4Not sure what to say after all that. Fever came out firing after 1/4 time and Tbirds were shell shocked. At one stage, it was 15-2 for the Q before Tbirds fought back.
A couple of interesting things in that Q. Tbirds making a comeback with Sam Gooden sinking 2 super shots. She then promptly undid some of the good work, by missing one straight under the post! Also, faced with some good Fever defence, Matilda Garrett threw a long bomb. BACKWARDS!
Petty and Nankivell very turnover high tonight. Can’t believe Fever were up 15-2 at one point in the 2nd quarter (as Ian noticed)
Thunderbird have 9 more turnovers than Fever with every player contributing at least 1 (most have 2 or more with exception to Wilson who just entered the game).
Really wanted Thunderbirds to win today… for them and also to make the 4th place a tighter contest.

3/4 time: Fever 50/36
Fowler 45/45, Glasgow 1/4
Potgieter 20/20, Gooden 7/9We’ve mentioned the one thing you really need to beat Fever is a low error rate. Well, Tbirds have given up as many turnovers in 3 Qs as Swifts & Lightning combined in 2 games.
Full time: Fever 69-44
Fowler 57/58 (98%)
Glasgow 6/12 (50%)
Teague-Neeld 3/6 (50%)Potgieter 26/26 (100%)
Gooden 8/12 (67%)
Horjus 5/7 (715)Assists: Charles 27
Gains: Bruce 6Penalties: Tbirds 59-40
Turnovers: Tbirds 37-23MVP: Jhaniele Fowler

Great choice of Fowler for MVP. Poor ATN and Glasgow not having a great day at the post. Both at 50%, although ATN was below 50 in regular shots. For a win against a top four side they will need to lift both sides of that stat- both attempts and accuracy.
Loved the work Aryang did down court. There are players I feel nervous watching as they carry the ball down through defence and I just don’t get that feeling with Aryang. She’s very composed.
I’ve said this before and some people disagreed, but I’m not sure why she has not been used more in GD or had someone encouraging her to pursue that position. The answer given on here before was that many successful GKs (Like Watson) are on the shorter side, but I still think she’d make a great GD. Tonnes of energy and very springy in the step! Perhaps it wouldn’t have helped her at Fever but it think it will help longer term and in terms of Diamonds chances.
Montyandpoppy, who are you talking about? I assume Bruce, but I’ve seen her at GD for the Diamonds and I don’t think she’s on the shorter side.
Sorry that was a direct reply to the earlier comment about Lewis – it came up with the reply option and I hit it but for some reason it hasn’t appeared that way. Sorry.
