Would love to see Vixens win this, would keep the top 4 still to play for. Would love to see Stanton shine against her former club
congrats MJ – 100 games for the Australian national league.
yes Liz, roller coaster…good come back by the Vixens after a slow start. Well done. Only down by 2 at quarter time: 17-15.
1/4 time: Fever 17-15
Fowler 16/16 (100%)
Teague-Neeld 1/4 (25%)Kumwenda 12/12 (100%)
Stanton 3/5 (60%)Penalties: Vix 14-10
Turnovers: Vix 5-4Fever storming ahead in the 2nd Q, now up 34-23
Not watching but checking the stats as the game progresses. Three turnovers by Moloney in the second quarter must have contributed to the Vixens being down 11 now. Right?
McKinnis really hasn’t given Smith and Dehaney enough opportunity this year. They should both be starting in my opinion. I almost get the feeling that Mannix and Eddy are getting the start because they’re worried they might move clubs.
Fowler is so good. Fever aren’t even trying to use ATN when she’s completely open and it still makes no difference. The most singlehandedly dominant player we’ve ever seen.
Jess Anstiss is playing a very dirty third quarter. Should be warned as she is getting away with it currently.
I completely agree. This is very dirty play and she is getting away with it going unnoticed and not penalised. Isn’t this why the umpires have such things as a ‘caution’ and a ‘warning’? Maybe they should start using them.
At half time it was Fever 38-24. Vixens putting up a better show in this Q. They narrowed the gap to 8 at one stage. It’s now back out to 10.
I’ve been disappointed by smith’s court time. I expect she will leave. Geitz gave her a wrap for being tight in Charles and contesting then next thing she was off. Smith has such amazing speed and footwork. Her attack is superior to both Eddy and Weston and gives their attack a platform. When Smith went off they were leading the quarter 11-7. It ended up 15-14.
