think maybe should start new topic with 2022 Team signings. looking ahead Swifts should make top 4 right. Route to the final will be tough thoug.
If Nat went home to Leeds, just think of the mobile circle with her and Grierson!!! Delicious!
Don’t think that move will happen because Madi Browne is joining for next season. More likely to return to Wasps. mind you Manchester thunder could do with a WA. just imagine if her and Helen for Thunder. Not sure where she lives that could affect her decision would love her at Team Bath
Would love Vixens to win and for Stanton to play well.
1/4 time: Giants 14-12
Harten 9/10 (90%)
Dwyer 5/7 (71%)Kumwenda 10/11 (91%)
Stanton 2/4 (50%)Okay, onwards and upwards after that first quarter. Surely the netball can only get better from here. Giants on top but really not playing all that well.
Giants slowly starting to find their rhythm, and as soon as they do that, we have a Vixens timeout. Score: 20-14.
Vixens defence has been doing a good job but their attack is so disjointed. 13 turnovers already. Giants with 10.
1/2 time: Giants 27-20
Harten 15/18, Dwyer 12/16
Kumwenda 15/20, Stanton 4/8, Barkmeyer 0/0That 2nd Q saw an improvement from Giants, but sadly not Vixens. In defence, they’re doing well in keeping the pressure on, but their attack is not working at all.
Okay, so Vixens are definitely more competitive in this third Q. But the lead has still blown out to 9.
3/4 time: Giants 43-32
Harten 25/30, Dwyer 17/23
Kumwenda 25/31, Stanton 4/8, Barkmeyer 1/1That Q was better from Vixens but it seems a bit too late. Giants have clicked into gear and their attack end is working well now. Price having a great game at centre.
Amy Parmenter having a rest as is Sam Poolman. Manu’a and McDonell on. McDonell has been out there for 4 minutes and has 3 intercepts!
Well, Vixens have restored a little pride by winning the last Q, but it’s still a comfortable 9 goal win for Giants and they got to give some of their frontline players a rest in the last 15 minutes.
Well played Giants, disappointing for the Vixens but this season has been a building process of sorts. would they have been better with Liz Watson, not too sure. Would anyone like to predict who will finish top?
Full time: Giants 54-45
Harten 30/38 (79%)
Dwyer 20/27 (74%)
Letherbarrow 2/3 (67%)Kumwenda 34/43 (79%)
Stanton 4/11 (36%)
Barkmeyer 2/2 (100%)Assists: Dwyer 15
Gains: Mannix 7Penalties: Vixens 65-62
Turnovers: Vixens 29-19MVP: Jamie-Lee Price (Giants)
Very excited to see Tayla Williams come into the side today. Would love to see her get some court time when Obst decides to shift the mid court (as always).
Van Der Merwe out with an injury but should be back next week.
