Sarah from the klauds with the first intercept of the day. Swifts lead 5-0!!!
These uniforms are a bit confusing. Probably would be less so if Lightning’s home uniform didn’t have yellow in it ….when the teams were in their huddles before the game Ineas wondering why Wallace was playing for Lightning.
First turnover against Swifts at the 9 minute mark. Swifts up 15-9
1/4 time: Swifts 20-15
Wallace 13/13, Housby 7/7
Proscovia 13/14, Koenen 2/2Lightning recovered after that very slow start, but another turnover late and Swifts bring up 20 goals for the quarter. Lightning finding it very tough to disrupt Swifts’ attack.
Agreed JR! My brain is confused watching this game because I’m so used to the lighting being the ones with yellow
Okay, this is now looking extremely one-sided. Sadly, Lightning looking a bit of a rabble, but that’s taking nothing away from Swifts who are just doing everything right. Binnian Hunt now on for Proscovia. Swifts 32-19
1/2 time: Swifts 40-29
Wallace 27/27, Housby 12/13, Garbin 1/1
Proscovia 17/19, Koenen 11/13, Hunt 1/2Lightning looked a fraction better when Koenen went back to GS, but they’re really missing Wood. Swifts have just played a terrific half of netball.
Things going along smoothly for Swifts. Lightning competitive now, but making no great impact on the margin. Swifts by 11.
3/4 time: Swifts 54-44
Wallace 39/40, Housby 14/15, Garbin 1/1
Koenen 21/24, Proscovia 17/19, Hunt 6/10But for the start of the 1st & 2nd Qs, Lightning’s been competitive. But the damage has been done.
ZERO super shots scored so far and only 2 attempted!
Maddy Turner’s fallen awkwardly. Hope she’s okay. She’s coming off now.
Full time: Swifts 69-64
Wallace 50/52 (96%)
Housby 18/20 (90%)
Garbin 1/1 (100%)Koenen 36/41 (88%)
Proscovia 17/19 (90%)
Hunt 7/15 (47%)Assists: Proud 30
Gains: Klau 10Penalties: Swifts 50-34
Turnovers: Lightning 20-19MVP: Maddy Proud (Swifts)
11-11. Attack on top for both sides. Defences just looking for a chance
1/4 time: Fever 25-19
Fowler 16/16, Teague-Neeld 6/7
Harten 10/11, Dwyer 8/9Oh boy, the power 5 hurt the Giants. It was 18-18 and going goal for goal before Fever took over, scoring 3 goals to Fowler and three straight super shots to an on fire Teague-Neeld.
