Some of these three second calls are astonishingly quick.

Fraser has been good but the Swifts are missing Hadley. Every time they make these changes there are turnovers.

Anyone know what happened to Marc Henning? Why was he replaced with the reserve? Tough for the players to adjust as there was an obvious difference, the held ball being the obvious one.

          3/4 time: Lightning 46-43

Well, here we go. The home team up by 3 going into the last Q. Can they hold on. Maweni and Pretorius both had a blinder of a quarter.

The reserve umpire has made a few basic errors, that ball from Koenen was handed to Cassidy and wasn’t called as a short pass. The Swift’s Defenders are starting to get more gains.

Such a poor and undisciplined finish from the Swifts, all those cross-court balls were so unnecessary. Lightning were far steadier and smarter when it mattered.

On a different note, it was nice to see Keirra Trompf again. She did a great job on the sideline as well.

                      Turnovers: lightning 21-19

                      MVP: Karla Pretorius (Lightning)

What a great game! So many twists and turns and could have gone either way. The Lightning defence stood firm when it mattered. We mustn’t forget that Swifts were without their captain. Hopefully she will be back on court soon

Pretorius had a poor game last week. That doesn’t happen two weeks in a row!

Barkmeyer and Stanton just can’t catch a break. The contrast between them and Dwyer is astounding.

And Sasha Glasgow…why didn’t McKinnis recruit her?

I think McKinnis tried, they just didn’t succeed. Glasgow wanted to go to Perth to be coached by Marinkovich. The reason Stanton became available was because Fever wanted Glasgow over her.
