I’m confused by that play and the commentators completely missed it. Swifts centre pass but was Housby called for a break when she was trying to get blood called?

Nelson is so much stronger physically and on the hands this year.

Housby had only just come on when she was off again with what looks like a hand/finger injury of some sort.

        Magpies up 14-11

          1/4 time: 14-14

Just like the previous game, a stack of turnovers in the first Q. Magpies held sway for almost all of it before Swifts equalised thanks to a Wallace super shot and then a brilliant team goal right on quarter time. Wow. That crowd. What a noise.

I don’t understand why Haythornthwaite keeps running straight to the pocket. She makes it so hard for Moore and Turner to find her on the transverse. Hadley has to do everything herself.

So happy to see Fraser out there! Proper drives to the ball and the circle edge. Plays with confidence!

Fraser has been excellent. Great control, speed and strength. She also looks into Wallace early. Housby has really lifted as well.

Turner is so underrated, I hope we see her back in the Diamonds. Her defence on the shot for her height is astonishing.

I can’t believe Jovic got dropped/stepped away from pathways at one point. She’s such a good player in attack and defence. The Diamonds could use someone like that at C.

I can’t get over the commentators yesterday and today declaring that it is fine for the same umpire to call a quick three seconds because she is being consistent, and the teams are now on notice that she’s going to do it. There is no infringement if the player has not held the ball for more than three seconds. A “quick three seconds“ is just a wrong decision, repeatedly.

I just love watching Fraser, she takes the most of every opportunity. Also loving the Housby that has turned up to this game

                          1/2 time: Swifts 33-29

Going by the NNP, Magpies should actually be comfortably in front. Housby’s re-entry into the game and all those super shots were really instrumental in bringing Swifts back after they were down by 5 at one stage.

My issue with the quick three seconds, aside from the fact that many of them are wrong, is that they still never seem to affect the shooters. Many players are still taking more than four seconds to catch, set up and shoot without penalty.

Swift’s uniform almost looks like one of the old Mystics uniform

The Magpies are getting the ball into Nelson from anywhere. I think Burgess on at WD for a few minutes might be a good changeup.

Nelson with another strong game for Magpies. She’s really improved her game! And Brazill’s having an absolute blinder! Magpies 41-40
