Fever starting 7 looking a little different today!
Glasgow finally getting the start. Let’s see if she can bring what she usually injects from the start of the game.
Probably their best midcourt lineup, although Anstiss probably would track Browne better than Francis will. Glasgow in GA is absolutely the right move, she needs to at least be given the chance to prove she’s a 60 minute player.
Sinclair is the weakest link in this Magpies attack end, I’d like to see them give McCollin an opportunity earlier in this game.
McCollin came on last week and completely fluffed it though so they may not have as much confidence to bring her on?
I actually think Sinclair is a little underrated, she often does a lot of work to open space up for Nelson that may go unnoticed.I think they brought McCollin on at the wrong time, it should have been earlier. And a lot of the collapse last week was due to Nelson. McCollin has been great for T&T and Steel in the past, Sinclair for me is too predictable on the feed and at times impatient.
Glasgow has been a standout. She’s really adapted to the GA position so well. It’s easier with Fowler, but there are a lot of GSs transitioning to GA that could take a note out of her book. Garbin and Stanton comes to mind. Her decision to move to Fever instead of Victoria or staying at T’Birds has turned out to be a great one.
Yikes, how many times are Magpies going to try and throw it over Bruce?
I’ll be honest I haven’t seen McCollin before SSN but sounds like she just needs more opportunity? Maybe similar to Glasgow they should give her a start and see how she grows in to a game? As I don’t think it’s worked when they’ve tried to introduce her as an impact player in the first few rounds.
Sadly (and it breaks my heart) but I also think we’ve seen the best of Geva and she’s nowhere near the player she has been in the past. Doesn’t really impact games anymore and is just kinda on the court following the ball around. I’d like to see Newton given a go, she’s been fantastic for them when she’s been given an opportunity
Yeah I agree about McCollin, she’s more of a playmaker than an impact player.
Personally I don’t think Mentor has been the same since she left Lightning. Last year she had her moments but I thought Ward was the real standout.
Jovic and Browne have been so undisciplined, it’s like the Magpies of last year.
If Glasgow continues playing like this, then Teague-Neeld is out of a job.
I think Mentor still has good netball to give, but she needs a stronger team to bring it out of her.
