Oh dear Dragons were outplayed in every area of the court. Okay, they have lost 7 players from last season and have brought in a lot of players from the netball Wales pathway. In effect they are a new team/squad but so are Rhinos. Of the two teams on court, it was Rhinos who looked like the experienced VNSL team. They had connections and lots of flow throughout the court.
Walliams didn’t look out of place and she ran down lots of ball. She’s not polished enough to be a diamond.
Can’t help but wonder if she looked settled because Lee-Jones was so ineffective. Have to admit I’ve seen her in SSN and expected more.

12 – 8 SirensSirens look well drilled, nothing flash just steady. Cardwell and Joyce combo nothing working well
QTR 2
19 – 23 ThunderThunder made more of their possession that quarter. Cardwell and Joyce working better. Sirens are still solid but thunder has less turnover ball
QTR 3
26 – 33 ThunderBoth teams working hard to keep ball and move it their shooters. Thunder managing to pull away but it’s wasn’t easy.
Two excellent, entertaining games tonight!
Rhinos showed they are an absolute force, Dragon’s really need to work out their structures before their next match.
Super happy with Sirens, really organised and solid in the first half. Thunder showed they may struggle in the WA position, Malcolm won POM but it was her quarter in C that sparked her play.
Can’t wait for tomorrow :yahoo:

Sorry, I thought I had posted this before my Wi-Fi went down
Was oh so close to picking Sirens against Stars and I think maybe I should have after this!
I thought Rhinos were great across the whole court, but really impressed with how Grierson, Dixon and Wallam combined in attack. They’re up against Mavs next so we’ll see how they stand up against the pressure of Trip/Quashie.
Thunder won comfortably in the end, but their attack looked disjointed at times, especially the 2nd phase off the centre pass. I’m not convinced by Mvula and Cardwell together without a proper WA…they might need to back their young GA to get the balance right there, or experiment with the best combo for Malcom/ O’Hanlon /Carter.
Great to see Kerry Almond back on court with a good performance!1-7 Storm
Pulse making errors and Burger is the main culprit. Magee injured and forced from the court
