Leeds Rhinos have been very impressive recently, but the big test is this week when they come up against the table-topping Team Bath. That's the highlight of another great round of @NetballSL action. pic.twitter.com/dntLwxXA1h

FULLTIME:
Stars 41 Lightning 50
This was a hard game for Lightning. They lead by 3 at the end of Q1 and stretched it to 7 by halftime but Stars continued to contest every ball and force errors from the top 4 side. Every time Lightning tried to pull away Stars were there able to pull it back but failed to score from the turnover. The gap remained at 6 goals for most of the second half and overall Lightning deserved the win but Stars are a much improved team.
FULLTIME:
Bath 59 Rhinos 43
Both teams came out fighting, lots of push and shove in the circle and full court defensive pressure. Both sides were pulled for held ball on a centre pass and that was only the first quarter! “We have a plan” said Stembridge and Bath took Q2 17-8 and restricted Rhinos to only 9 goals in Q3, game over. Artman started Q4 at GK and after 3 serious infringements was sent from the court by the Umpire and Bath ended the game with 6 players.
POTM Guscoth
Full time: Bath 59-43
Strange game. Bath were good and Rhinos were bad in equal measure. Great all round performance from Bath, but Rhinos picked tonight to have a bit of a shocker and Bath gave them a bath! POTM Layla Guscoth… well deserved. Great game.
Donnell Wallam had her worst game since joining the VNSL. A lot of that seemed to be caused by the feeders not having the usual confidence to put the ball up. The Bath defence is great, but not unbeatable. Thought I saw Wallam feeling for her injured arm at one stage. Please no!
I saw that too Ian, and winced! I hope she’s ok?
I think the issue was the fact that Bath’s defence through court was massive – pushing the feeders out and putting doubt into their minds. Guscoth and EUB were clever at disrupting the space, and it looked like Wallam retreated further and further into the circle, giving them less and less room to work with. EUB had definitely done her homework, and gave Wallam a real going over!
Sirens v storm
Full time: Sirens 52-39
Even first half, but Sirens asserted some dominance in the second half, winning it 28-15 as their defence got on top. Emily Nicholl with the POTM award!
FULLTIME:
Sirens 52 Storm 39
Another strange games in VNSL, as both sides worked to get control of this match. It was level pegging at halftime. Sirens pulled ahead in Q3 and took full control in Q4. Good win by Sirens
POTM McNicoll (Sirens GA)
FULLTIME:
Dragons 40 Thunder 54
Dragons were able to stick with Thunder for the first 5 minutes, after that it was all Thunder. Dragons are much improved. Once Thunder took the lead they never looked like loosing it. KG took the opportunity to play her bench, it was a good run out for the youngsters
POTM Muvla
FULLTIME
Lightning 53 Storm 28
The game was over by halftime 30-13. Sadly Storm only scored 14 goals in the second half. The Lightning circle defence was good but it was Priest, Storm GK, who took POTM. It was deserved, she confused the space and was rewarded with tips, deflections and intercepts

Awful game for Storm, other than Priest.
Surely there needs to be a change? Mikki Austin has had very little success in the time as head coach. Surely time to look elsewhere?
Are they going to be dropping a team before next year to bring it back to 10? Storm are really putting themselves at risk of being the team that could be dropped?

OMG Funmi what a 3ft guard interception
@EnglishRose, is that true are they going to cut it down to 10 teams??
