Worried for Stars here without Georgia Rowe. Hope they don’t get blown away, but Thunder have started well and lead 11-4.
1/4 time: Thunder 14-7
Stars under so much pressure on every pass, with players being forced to take difficult options, often leading to error, whereas up the other end, it seems easy by comparison getting the ball to Mvula.
1/2 time: Thunder 32-14
Thunder dominating. After winning the first Q 14-7, they won the 2nd 18-7! Winning all over the court. So many changes being made by Stars, but none have improved things. Rowe has been missed. At least she would have provided a target.
3/4 time: Thunder 47-20
That Q was 15-6. Sad to see Stars struggling like this. The Thunder defence has just been too much for them today. Will Karen Greig put some bench players on for the last Q or continue to push for an even bigger win with her top liners?
Liana Leota pictured with her arm in a sling. Hope she’s okay! On the end of a big defeat in this game, that would be the worst possible news if she was seriously injured.
Stars are struggling, Leota didn’t look happy at halftime.
When Kelly and Dee moved to GK & GD, I wondered if she would give Herdman a try at GS. She’s a good target and they have nothing to lose
It’s obvious that Thunder have been playing together for a while, they’re starting to combine really well. Mvula is such a target, it’s a shame she hasn’t gotten a gig in Australia or NZL, but the stars haven’t really aligned for her. There have definitely been worse import shooters in SSN and ANZP.
Full time: Thunder 60-27
A comprehensive win for Thunder, coming out on top in all departments and all positions. Mvula was P.O.M and Stars had no answer to her. Put under intense pressure by their opposition, Stars crumbled and committed numerous errors.

Sirens v Pulse
This should be a good game, both teams fighting not to be at the bottom of the table.
Barrie and Goodwin start for the Sirens up against two shorter inexperienced defenders in Pulse.
So far goal for goal, both GS dominating
6-6 all level
