QTR 3
25-37 Wasps
Dragons raised their game, they looked keen and played confidently. If fact they were level on goals until the last few minutes when Wasps pulled away.
FULLTIME:
Celtic Dragons 38 Wasps 51
Q1 was a draw and after that it was all Wasps. Having secured a 10 goal lead by halftime Wasps emptied the bench. Dragons are still looking for that win. They are still struggling to put out a consistent 4 quarters back to back
POTM Dunn
QTR 1
9-17 Mavs
Slow start by both teams, a Jodie G interception gave Mavs the lead and they haven’t look troubled.
It looks as if Bath have really gone off the ball since that resounding win against Manchester Thunder. Both Thunder & Lightening look to be in incredible form. Bath need to get back their early season form if they are to hold on to top spot & hopefully carry home the title.
HALFTIME
17-27 Mavs
Wow Mavs rung the changes immediately. Kadeem to the bench, Venter back to GS and Essam to GA. Stars made changes too, new circle defence, Nia to C. They only lost that Q by 2 so something worked in their favour
FULLTIME:
Severn Stars 34 Saracens Mavericks 54
The score blew out thanks to the reintroduction of Kadeem. Stars were unable to contain her. Mavs were able to rest a lot of their experienced players ready for the match against Wasps tomorrow.
Stars, still no news about the Beth D injury. They have a 2 week break before their next match at the copperbox. “we start again” said Bessell. Stars only missed 1 shoot the entire game.
POTM Marshall
QTR 1
7-9 Mavs
Defensive start by both teams but Mavs are getting more possession and giving their shooters more opportunities, hence they have the lead. Still anyones game
HALFTIME:
16-20 Mavs
Both teams treasuring the ball. Not much in it and may boil down to which team is the most patient when feeding the circle.
QTR 3
25-28 Mavs
Wasps looked sharper, hungrier and fitter than Mavs this Q. Jo Trip is keeping Mavs ahead and Wasps haven’t given up, still all to play for
FULLTIME:
Wasps 38 Saracens Mavericks 34
Wasps looked threatening in Q3 and within 2 minutes of the start they were level. Then they stepped on the gas and pulled away. Venter was benched due to the blood rule at the start of the Q and Mavs never found their flow.
POTM Christain
The BIG game:
QTR 1
11-15 Thunder
2 back line catches and falling out of court shots by Wallam, a couple of intercepts by Almond and Keenan and Vicky O leaving the court a few minutes before the whistle. That’s the story of Q1, still anyones game.
shooting stats Dixon 0 Wallam 11

HALFTIME:
Rhinos 20 Thunder 30
Thunder stepped up the defensive pressure early in the Q and Rhinos could not respond. Wallam getting pulled for contact at one end and the ball flying onto Joyce unchallenged at the other
