FULLTIME:
Rhino 47 Thunder 66
Not the thriller I had hoped for, after the first quarter it was all Thunder
POTM Cardwell
I’ve only seen a bit of the match. What was the go with Wallam being penalised so much? This is the sort of inconsistency fans don’t like. She was seemingly doing no different to other games?
Oh, and Bethan Dyke is out for the season unfortunately.
Did Bethan Dyke do her ACL again?

@Ian I was wondering the same – perhaps she was using her hip to protect her elbow a bit? It certainly was away from the “camera side” of the court!Yes Bethan Dykes has done her ACL again unfortunately – in her right knee (I can’t remember which one she did previously but think it may have been her other one – I have a 50/50 chance of this being correct). She is just an integral player for Stars and I’m always impressed by her.
Wallam may have been protecting her arm to be fair but I didn’t see anything wrong – Kerry Almond is a bit of a drama queen though so that may have had something to do with it! Her and Rachel Dunn are hilarious to watch if they make any contact which is usually a lot!
I really expected it to be a lot closer, especially after their first match up, they have obviously done their homework from the few matches Wallam has played. I think Rhino’s tried to rely on the lob too much which worked but that took Rhea Dixon out of the game a lot more and meant Wallam was doubled on a lot.
Agreed BB, Almond and Dunn are like the best actress contenders at the Oscars – so much face!!!
I might’ve missed something – is Liana Leota playing this year?
She broke her thumb or hand I think a few weeks ago
