9 of 10 Magic squad named:

    Ekenasio, Mes, Williams
    Edgecombe, Kersten, Winders
    Mikaere, Maihi, Tong

One further name to be added.

If anything that’s gives the Pulse’s midcourt room to breathe. Pending they remain, Souness at WA, move Gordon forward to C and play Lokotui at WD. Although who knows, we might get a surprise or two come 2pm.

Magic will be needing a gun at WA. Your back-up option there is either Winders (eek) or Mes who I’m really hoping is starting GS!

Magic looking strong. Top tier players spots filled but no WA specialist.

Hmm with Kersten on the move, it really does open up top spots defensively for the Pulse.

My other favorite game. Guess the Contract Tier.

    Tier 1: Eke, Winders
    Tier 2: Mes, tbc player
    Tier 3: Kersten, Mikaere
    Tier 4: Tong, Williams
    Tier 5: Edgecombe, Maihi

No Rore or Fowler for Magic.
I’m assuming Fowler will have options elsewhere but I thought Rore was going to Magic.

Could the Magic TBC be Manua and not announced until after SSN next week?

    Kersten Tier 2
    Manua Tier 3?

I would argue SF players would command the top two tiers.

Or maybe Haythornthwaite to fill the WA vacancy.

    There’s a thought Thunder..

Waiting for a post from Magic, but intrigued what this might mean for the futures of Kara and Fakahokotau in particular. And look, a fit Semple absolutely has a place at this level.

Hopefully Mystics and Pulse announcements shed some light..

Good call! And would be a smart move for Haythornthwaite because I think the Swifts will favour Fraser moving forward so it would give her good court time leading in to the next international cycle.

The Magic press release confirms Kara, Fakahokotau, Semple and Kolose will not be returning to the Magic.

    Pulse:

Aspiring young shooter Amelia Walmsley and experienced defender Temalisi Fakahokotau will ply their trade with Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse in 2022.
The in-coming pair will join the well-performed returning midcourt trio of Whitney Souness, Maddy Gordon and Paris Lokotui while rangy defender Kelly Jury will also be back in yellow and black.

Pulse should’ve signed a speedy GD. Jury and Fakahokotau aren’t that quick and Jury best suits GK. Wonder what the upcoming season will look like for the Pulse.
