I hope Falkner heads back to the
Magic and peers with Eke if she is off the the Magic, I hope this does happen and it will spread our talented shooters to all the franchises.

          Mystic – Grace/Mes
          Stars – Mya, Hume
          Magic – Falkner, Eke
          Pulse – Dunn, Tiana
          Tactix- TP, Bird
          Steel – Fisher, Tui

That’s a great spread of Nz talent and then add the likes of Williams Etc that’s awesome for NZ netball I reckon.

I reckon Bailey needs to be playing GS to get her shooting right but don’t think we’ll see that – was thinking her to the Magic could be that opportunity but highly unlikely now?

Don’t know what Bailey’s plans are except she’s having a good break. Mystics might not re sign her? Nothings a given.
All these changes, girls in different colours, different teams

It’s easy to forget just how long Mes has been around. She may feel it’s the right time to take a break, especially with the premiership and all her injury struggles. She still has a lot to give but I think she either needs to be playing GS or playing GA in a role that isn’t so based on feeding and playmaking. Vui is better suited to that role and will probably be starting GA next year.

                    Agree al_ex
It’ll be interesting to see what ANZ team changes there are and also the Ferns. We’re running out of safe states here in Aus to play CC.

Wow Steel must be gutted about Metuarau leaving. They nearly won the championship with her there. In saying that they don’t lose anything with Tui going south. Wonder if Saviianaea will stay down south.
Agree lots of opportunities for nz shooting pairs. Dunn and Metuarau will be exciting to watch.

Ekenasio has been with the Pulse since 2015 but RNZ understands she wasn’t offered a contract for 2022 and has now signed with another franchise.

That’s very interesting she wasn’t offered a contract. Had she have played this season, I reckon Pulse would have been in that GF.

Without knowing the back story to all of this, I do feel for Eke. Taking time away to create or add to her family, only to come back and not be wanted by your workplace?

It’ll be very interesting to see where she’s heading off to. I do hope it’s Magic, but imagine if she goes to Mystics 😳 A combination with Nweke and Toeava, will almost be unstoppable.

Interesting choice of words, ‘wasn’t offered a contract’.
Makes you wonder what was behind the Pulses decision making?

Don’t forget the salary tier system will be having an impact. But yes it seems the Pulse have picked Metuarau over Ekenasio, perhaps they are beefing up the defence end considering Rore isn’t coming back.

Aaahhh @museboy that does make sense! So really, it was probably more a decision on whether to keep Dunn or Ekenasio?
If that’s the case, I can understand why they stuck with Dunn.

Guys, read that article again. It’s been updated…

“McCausland-Durie said they offered Ekenasio a contract for next year, but she opted to go in a different direction.”

I think she might actually be going somewhere else for more money.
