Yes, coach was overseas based.

Normally, franchises can approach their players at any time to talk about contracting, they cannot however approach players from other teams (do all franchises abide by this rule?…No). Players from other teams however can approach other franchises at any time. This is normally done through agents unless they are representing themself and this all generally happens towards the end of the season. I think it might be two weeks after the finals all players who haven’t been contracted are added to a list and that list is then released to all the franchises so teams can fill their rosters with who is left.

Your Tier 1 list is also very close to being on the money as far as I’m aware. Keep in mind Kersten was only appointed captain this season after players decided not to play, well after Tiers had been appointed.

The comments in this article have plenty of speculation or it might be fact that Damien Ekenasio has some form of contract with basketball in Melbourne!

I know age should be no barrier if you are still at the top of your sport, but hes 40 years old.
I can’t imagine he would be picked up by an NBL team when he hasn’t played NBL before now. Unless a coaching/local level role.

Yes imagine Damian Ekenasio would be moving to Melbourne for a coaching position, not a playing contract..

However all other accounts have been Eke is headed to an ANZP team, not SSN?

Magic it is for Ekenasio. She and Williams will be a great combination. I wonder if she’s actually going to move up to Waikato or if Magic are going to continue allowing players to commute.

As a Pulse supporter it is sad to see Ekenasio leave. If any team can benefit from her skills it will be the Magic. I have always said what is good for one franchise is good for NNZ/SF.
