Wouldn’t quite be a SF selection with Nweke in the mix.

I think the Mystics will need to come out firing from the first whistle to beat a in form Stars team.

I will be very interested to watch her play. I will be amazed and impressed if she takes the ball in the air strongly like she has done all season. Everyone who has had an ankle injury like that knows what it is like mentally.

Still super fishy, torn ligaments take longer to heal, unless Mystics were over dramatising the extent of her injury. Still think its Stars game to lose. Stars defence are experienced enough to make it difficult for Nweke.

Man, Helene Wilson just rubs me wrong with her interviews, Mystics do not have the strongest shooting circle, they have the tallest jumping GS, theyre GA doesnt do much lets be honest. like look at the difference with Mes this year to the last few (freedom not being told to throw the ball to Nweke). Even Faulkner played better last year away from Mystics. Every other team bar maybe Steel have a shooting combo that both contribute fairly eveningly.

Mystics defence have been aolid all year but have seemed a bit diwconnected the last few rounds. Sulus after game interviews since the losing has happened has been worrying for me, even the last one with the no comment about playing WD, might be a good thing Helene is leaving next year, mightve ended up being her or the players? Still hoping Rob doesnt end up head coach :negative:

The mid court buffs better be on target. I’m sure Harrison and Temu will be marking very close to the ankle.

                      Ridiculous and damn sad
Grace could be risking everything by playing on a healing injury.
The stress of landing from such big heights.

Didn’t watch interview but how ignorant if they think they’re the only ones with a great shooting team. Duh

Agreed @minkie, also saying Noel’s was okay with it obviously means it wasn’t as bad as they first stated. What’s it been 4 weeks since she injured it? So for a ligament strain takes 4 weeks and they stated it was 2 ligament tears? She’s recovered, healed and resumed training already? I’m calling bs all round.

Grrr I hate it when ppls voice what others have said. It’s childish and Noel’s might or might not like her words being used in this way.

I agree @Nate Mystics may have over dramatised her injury. It is a quick return to court, for her injury. And seeing that DNT has been over seeing this, I doubt she would be allowing this to happen, especially if it jeopardised her Ferns team.
I’ll be expecting Stars defence to be double teaming Nweke, and forcing Falkner to shoot out the game. However between Falkner and Toeava, they are really good at getting that ball to Nweke. Be interesting to watch!

I do think this game is going to be won, by which GS dominates.
If Maia keeps the form she’s had for the past few rounds, Stars will be looking good. She cannot afford to have one of her shockers.
Same thing for Mystics with Nweke. If she struggles to jump, Stars will be all over her. However if she is at 100% she’ll be too hard to stop.

Be interesting to see if Maia Wilson’s shooting holds up in this game since it’s a knockout game. Also I’m sure Harrison will be doing her best to out Nweke off her game with increased physicality. There will be a lot of flopping by Harrison I’m predicting.

Team lists have been released, Mystics have Namara starting GS and ACD on the bench. Imo Mystics have both Nweke and Vui on the bench meaning they dont need Namara at all. Obrien must still be out but that doesnt mean they need ACD.

sinclair and iversen on the Stars bench.
