Interesting that they are starting Namara first. Starting to wonder about Nwekes injury again 🤔
Why is Iverson on the Stars bench?
I’d imagine that Nweke, Earle and Toeava are not cleared for a full game, possibly MSB as well.
Thinking Greer Sinclair is a replacement for Mather.
Stars:
GS Wilson
GA Hume
WA Crampton
C Reuelu-Buchanan
WD Fowler
GD Temu
GK HarrisonMystics:
GS Namana
GA Falkner
WA Toeava
C Earle
WD Sokolich-Beatson
GD Karaka
GK FitzpatrickWilson did say yesterday that there’s no cap on Nwekes minutes
Namana 100% deserves a contract next year. She has been a solid replacement player for the Mystics, and was good for the Steel last year when Fisher was out.
Plus she can play GA as she was playing there for the Central NNL team this year.
Id like to see Steel have Namara, Tui and Heffernen.
1/4 time: Stars 16-10
Wilson 13/13 (100%)
Hume 3/4 (75%)Namana 8/8 (100%)
Falkner 2/3 (67%)Once again, the defensive wall of Harrison/Temu is proving a huge stumbling block for Mystics and their gains are being rewarded. Stars up by 6. Crampton with 9 assists already
It looks like Namana is playing with a inured hand too, she doesn’t seem to be using it normally.
Hard call with that ball possession too, thought Stars got very lucky with that.
Nweke is on and straight into the action. Stars 17-12
Very much goal for goal in this second quarter until a tremendous intercept from Elle Temu beating Nweke for the ball. Stars now up by 8.
Some running repairs to the floor just now, but we’re off again with Stars extending the lead to 10.
