Not a one trick pony but Nweke puts up all the shots for the 2nd quarter

@Maryann I think she was a notable omission last year – but Noels would need her head read if she doesn’t make it this year!!!

Seriously what has happened to Falkner, sad to see her so hesitant to shoot. Maybe she should transition to WA like ATN has done for Fever.

Mystics went searching for a late goal, but it came unstuck, and instead, a huge pass down-court saw Maia Wilson score in the very last second for Stars. They lead 33-23 at halftime.

I don’t think Temu will make the fitness standards unfortunately.

@Kerryn totally agree, love Temus play, maybe fitness might be the ONLY reason why she wouldnt get picked under Noels regime.

@Kerryn – agreed. She’s probably the most in form GD this season and of course able to play GK too. She’s also shown she can partner with other than Harrison. I would like to see her form when she’s not partnered with such a tall GK/GD though. Karaka hasn’t come back from covid in anywhere the form she was starting to show prior to her catching it.

Wilsons running rings around the Mystics defence as is Hume.

@Mooz – I don’t think Falkners ever been an outstanding shooter, she’s flashy bringing the ball up court and into the shooting circle but her shots never been consistently on point, she’s quite patchy. At WA she might be very useful
A bit like Hume and Georgia Heffernan can both be.

    1/2 time: Stars 33-23

    Wilson 25/26 (96%)
    Hume 8/9 (89%)

    Nweke 13/15 (87%)
    Namana 8/8 (100%)
    Falkner 2/3 (67%)

I don’t think there’s any reason to question Temu’s fitness level – she can run out a whole game at GD, and never seems to lapse concentration later in the game like we see happen to others, in fact she usually gets better as the game goes on.

Stats showing crampton has 44 feeds into the circle, Mystics have 44 feeds total… also 28 Goal Assists to Mystcis 27 total

Falkner’s goal and court stats are both meh.

    Why not put Vui on?

Earle looks like she’s lagging a bit.
