STARS ARE OFF TO THE FINAL!
Interesting stat that no defensive rebounds and only a total of 6 intercepts between the two defence ends. I know there wasnt a lot of miss shots but still a suprise from such strong defensive ends that usually get quiet a few intercepts each game consistantly.

Just quietly… Gina Crampton 37 assists, 63 feeds, just 1 turnover.
Full time: Stars 63-57
Wilson 43/45 (96%)
Hume 20/24 (83%)
TOTAL 63/69 (91%)Nweke 45/49 (92%)
Namana 8/8 (100%)
Falkner 4/6 (67%)
TOTAL 57/63 (91%)Assists: Crampton 37
Gains: Temu, Harrison, Karaka 4MVP: Maia Wilson (Stars)
Wilson is peaking at the right time. Weirdly felt calm whenever Hume turned to shoot in that last 5 minutes which isn’t always the case..
@TB then she shouldn’t’ve been on for the the (nearly) full game if she wasn’t fit to be, could also be MRB took another step up, just throws questions about when everyone else has been on limited time coming back, so either it wasn’t, or Helene went against the protocols? (she’s always full of excuses and that seems to be the easiest one to use for them losing rather than jsut because Grace wasn’t playing when everyone know that’s the reason they were losing)
SURELY Reuleu-Buchanan makes the CWG team, best C in the comp by a country mile and her connection with Crampton is just superb. Watch the two of them and how well the read off one another.
Speaking of Crampton, 63 feeds is just insane for 1 game
So impressed with Wilson and Crampton. Love seeing them solidify their SF form.
Watching the two shooters, Wilson making her self available, Nweke waits for the lob.
Stars attacking end is definitely playing extremely well at the right time of year this time around.
Vui surely would be looking elsewhere next year? Faulkner seems to be coaches favourite to run but then new coaches next year…
@kerryn there have been several players in their first games returning from covid who have played near full games. Their ability to do so is based on the severity of covid (Toeava and Earle only missed one game albeit a delayed one) and various other tests prior to the game starting. Earle was pulled shortly after she put in the most dreadful pass. Apparently brain fog can present suddenly during a game and no one can know when that will happen, if it does.
Remember when Hume played one game, apparently Crampton was calling out to her asking if she was okay. The next few games her playing time was reduced quite a lot.
@Nate, do you remember when Wilson used to stand and wait too? Until Noels told her she saw her at GA 🙂 It’s great to see a holding shooter who can move when necessary. -
