Congrats Pulse. Impressive from a young team
My 12:
Nweke Dunn Ekenasio Metuarau
Crampton Poi Gordon Saunders
Burger Jury Manu’a FitzpatrickWilson Winders and Temu reserves
@Wewood – I suspect several players won’t be available for selection because they can’t make the fitness standards after covid – particularly in the case of defenders.
I also think that Karaka, Johnson and Ekenasio will have problems if they were intending to take their children. I know Karaka indicated she would have to take Pama as Pat will be most certainly on All Blacks duty. Children are not allowed in the village, I can’t see an exemption being made for their parents to live away from the rest of the team for the competitions duration.
Earle hasn’t done anything outstanding this season – certainly nothing to push her selection over any of the other potential C’s.
GA is going to be problematic along with C. I can’t think of any consistent GA performances week after week this season.I wonder if those being invited to trial will only be those already known to be meeting the SF fitness standards or if some very close to them will be asked to attend. In the past, as we know, players who don’t meet them at the trials are sent home but I’m pretty certain Noels already knows who, from the squad, is currently meeting them and who is not.
Maryann, Patrick T is ineligible for the All Blacks as he is playing in Japan, and not signed for a NZ franchise. But in regards to meels I’m sure something can be arranged regarding perhaps stating outside the village.
I honestly don’t know if I understand the point of getting rumour mills going by saying there’s ‘not good news’ coming? :negative:
Im so confused about the Manu’a thing now.
Honestly my feeling is that it’s all to stir the pot and by being vague they can say any news that does come out is what they’re referring to 🙄.
Please everyone, just wait for the team to be announced. Not long now.
Silver Ferns squad for trials named on Wednesday. Not long now.
What did the triumphs of the @PulseNetball and the @BlackFerns at the weekend share in common – other than big scorelines? The energy and exuberance of youth. @merryn_anderson and I wrap up sport's main events. @ANZPremiership #PacificFourSerieshttps://t.co/orrqjSNO3H

Great job by Pulse, they played as a team throughout the whole court but the whole ‘young’ team tag is a tad annoying, yes by age they are the youngest team however every one of their starting 7 (which they ran majority of the comp) has been or is an international player, either SF or Diamond.
Side note on how Noels said the Stars would win because of their experience… showed experience doesnt always pay off. I think she’ll have to really nail the combination of experience and form for CWG team, another head scratching selections will have people losing faith in her ‘process’.
I must admit I missed the talk about them being young. That’s crazy. When you look at that starting 7, there’s loads of experience there. Even Metuarau has played for about 4 or 5 years now!
