Who was the WA for Magic? I thought she was really impressive!
Full time: Magic 46-43
Rowland 26/30 (87%)
Mes 10/11 (91%)
Leaver 10/15 (67%)
TOTAL 46/56 (82%)Vui 26/32 (81%)
Falkner 17/17 (100%)
TOTAL 43/49 (88%)Penalties: Mys 53-34
Turnovers: Mys 22-18MVP: Erena Mikaere (Magic)
@nachosreturn formerly Simone Howe – played a few seasons in the Beko league – has been a premier player in Hamilton for quite some time – probably would’ve been a good option last year
Ha, yup!!
I thought she played with a tonne of composure which was awol for Magic last year. Have they sorted out what’s happening with Rore’s contract? I wonder if they’ll try to get Wilbore in fulltime as a replacement (seeing as they’ve 0 WAs in the team).Huge improvement in the Magic’s mid court.
Thought Kersten had the better game at C vs Winders.Loving seeing the teams out there and looking so happy to be playing
I thought Wilbore and Kersten were running rings around Sinclair and Earle in the first quarter. They were getting to the circle far too easily.
Terrible lighting for this Tactix vs Steel game!
How far away is Ekanasio from returning to the court?
I read they were training Edgecombe up as a WA, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they sign Willbore to replace Rore, and Rowland is in as cover for Williams while she injured – though the way she played today, Williams would have to come back better than she played last year to retake the spot.
and where has that Mikaere been hiding her entire career up to today? it was the best (and most consistent) game I think I have ever seen her play
Tactix making it tough for themselves, making a few too many errors in this first quarter. But after trailing by 9 at one stage, the gap is now 6.
Steel extends their lead to 9 once again in the 2nd quarter as Hannah Glen comes on for Ellie Bird at GS for Tactix
I wish Poi would consistently use her speed and agility. When she does a Courtney Tairi (standing watching everyone else work) Tactix grind to a halt.
1/2 time: Steel 32-27
Glen 4/6 (67%)
Selby-Rickit 8/12 (67%)Fisher 20/22 (91%)
Tui 12/14 (86%)Tactix had a chance to close the margin right up, but a bit of impatience stopped them. Burger had 4 gains in that Q to almost single-handedly get her team back into it.
Glen was quite useful I thought when she came on. Not afraid to go to the post.
