Magic v SteelGonna be some tired bodies this week of netball, hope everyone comes through okay and nothing major happens.
Hope it’s some good netball games too but not holding my hopes high with the last few rounds with the scrappiness.
🤞
I’m looking forward to the game where Magic can play their strongest lineup for a full game. That’s with Mes/Ekenasio in the circle.
I’ve been impressed with their defence. I’m not a Mikaere fan, but I think she’s been playing well this season. Her and Maihi have been combining well.Be interesting to see how the stars back up. Playing tomorrow in Hamilton, the flying to Wellington then playing Sunday
@McLeod, it’s a big ask – in fact the whole thing this year is not great for the players. It really does show how stupid doing a seasons draw, consisting of three rounds, by virtue of pulling names out a hat is.
Should be done round 1, then round 2, then round 3.
Then when intervention is needed to protect the players well being the competition can be reduced to two rounds, or one if needed.
It’s also not going to draw crowds of spectators if teams just can’t do it. Not the players fault.Has anyone heard about the results of Paris Lokotui’s injury last weekend? I’m away and internet reception is very sparse so haven’t caught up on a lot of netty happenings this week.

Then add on trials for com games. Some players look very out of sorts now. What they going to be like by late July
Storm Purvis back into the Stars lineup today.
Looks like no Cullen and HarrisonHarrison was the only Star to not have been affected by Covid when it ran through the squad, but I hope its not that.
I wonder if Johnson is injured (knee or ankle?)So covid has got Harrison from Stars and from the Magic it has taken out Maihi and Rowland for the game/games this weekend.
I can literally see the conditioning work Ekenasio has been doing. She looks great (regarding her netball play)!
