This is incredible! Stars have scored TEN goals to just one at the start of this third quarter. They lead 39-32

The attack end capitulates and your change isn’t to WA but to GD ??

Can’t work out why Winders and Kersten were swapped. That change, along with Tong going off has made such a difference.
Ekenasio looking really good – her fitness must have moved up a notch and she’s looking so confident going to the post.
I’ve been impressed with all four shooters this match.

Well, what a third-quarter from Stars. They won it 18-9 and pretty much took control of the game. Magic can still come back from here but it’s going to be very tough.

              Ekenasio 23/25 (92%)
              Mes 17/21 (81%)

              Wilson 28/30 (93%)
              Hume19/23 (83%)

This match not going her team’s way, but importantly for New Zealand netball, Ameliaranne Ekenasio is working herself back into form and fitness. The shot is still as sweet as ever, she has 26/29, 5 feeds, 2 rebounds and zero turnovers.

                  You’re right Ian.

                  Great combo with Mes too.

Cracker game from Wilson as well.

Long may they keep it up.

As soon as an article comes out with DNT suggesting SF starters need to step up…look what happens!

The Magic really need a NATURAL WA who has speed, vision and the dodging ability.

You have to feel sorry for Edgecombe because she’s an awesome little WD who can go and go and go. But she looks lost at WA.

Very frustrating watching the Magic – not impressed with the coaching.

I don’t think Edgecombe is doing too badly, she’s just not getting the necessary coaching direction. She was in the right place most of the time, she just kept driving away from the ball carrier instead of punching forward or dodging to the side. Was also frustrating watching Winders reset to the line when they had the perfect positioning for a triangle play to Edgecombe at the top and then into the shooters – would have been a good way to exploit the absence of Harrison and Johnson’s long arms and reach.

Bright side, EKENASIO! Loved how she played and also just how happy she looked to be playing.

Totally agree Wewood. I’m not trying to be unkind. Even when Jury played GD her slight lack of understanding in the position showed.

Mystics led 18-13 at 1/4 time. Attack well on top of defence. Tactix making no impression against Grace Nweke. Tactix have made a good start to the second quarter however and now trail by just 2.

Mystics have regained the lead and go into the halftime break up 34-30. A ridiculously low number of turnovers from both teams, so you really have to take advantage of your opponents’ errors

                                  Bird 18/20 (90%)

                                  Falkner 4/5 (80%)
