This is a crazy stat… the general play turnovers at the moment, halfway through the 3rd Q:
Mystics 19 – Stars 5
Score is 43-24!
Defender Leana de Bruin has broken Laura Langman's record for most national league matches of all time after taking to the court with @starsnetballnz this afternoon in her 227th appearance ? pic.twitter.com/ROEbQZQGMM

I seriously think the mystics team all have their periods, this is such crap play
Am I right in listing all of Leana de Bruin’s NZ club teams?
Northern Force, Mystics, Stars
Magic
Shakers (why do I feel she started there when she arrived in NZ?)
Sting, Steel3/4 time: Stars 47-27
Wilson 29/35 (83%)
Malesala 2/3 (67%)Falkner 12/15 (80%)
Vui 14/19 (74%)Another dominant quarter for Stars. As good as they have been, Mystics has been poor. The loss of Grace Nweke is big, but surely it’s not THIS big.
Are we still going to pretend that the Mystics aren’t a one trick pony team? They are toothless without Nweke and the outlet that she provides. They have now lost to the bottom placed teams and have now been thrashed by one of the top teams without Nweke. They need her back to have any chance.
I thought Namana did well in the last quarter. The Steel should have picked her up last year when she was down here.
Full time: Stars 59-38
Wilson 37/47 (79%)
Hume 18/28 (64%)
Malesala 4/7 (57%)
TOTAL 59/82 (72%)Falkner 14/17 (82%)
Vui 14/19 (74%)
Namana 9/11 (82%)
Karaka 1/1 (100%)
Binks 0/1 (0%)
TOTAL 38/49 (78%)Assists: Reuelu-Buchanan 23
Gains: Temu 10MVP: Elle Temu (Stars)

2003–2004 Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic
2005–2007 Northern Force
2008 Northern Mystics
2009 Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic
2010–2011 Southern Steel
2012–2016 Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic
2017 Northern Stars
2018 Adelaide Thunderbirds
2019 Northern StarsWell deserved MVP Temu is amazing!
Poor Sulu… as the commentators said went she ran into the signs… she should of just kept runningFaulkner is playing very sub pa. I do not see her getting even a trial for the SF at this stage
I’m hoping the Steel get a win today. The Magic only arrived in town at 8.00am this morning after having their flight turned back last night because the weather was so bad down here. They spent the night in Christchurch instead.
Steel:
GS Fisher
GA G Heffernan
WA Saunders
C Wilshier
WD K Heffernan
GD Burley
GK THR Selby-RickitMagic:
GS Ekenasio
GA Mes

GK MikaereSteel is well on top at the moment. They scored the last 5 goals of the first Q to lead it 17-10, and they’ve started out well in the 2nd quarter too. Up 23-13
