Fisher 21/21 (100%)
Heffernan 6/7 (86%)Wilson 18/20 (90%)
Hume 9/12 (75%)Steel takes the lead right on halftime after a Stars turnover. This is a good game. Stars led by 5 at one stage in the 1st Q, but Steel clawed their way back into it.
Edge of the seat game!! Do wish Anna Harrison would stop with the facial expressions though.
3/4 time: Steel 44-41
Fisher 34/35 (97%)
Tui 2/2 (100%)Wilson 29/31 (94%)
Hume 12/16 (75%)Steel continues to impress, building their lead by 2 more goals. Sarahpheinna Woulf now comes on at GD for the start of this last Q. Can they maintain the lead
Getting tight now. Steel got the lead out to 6 goals but a couple of vital touches from the Stars and it’s back to 2. Anyone’s game!
What a thriller. Who wants it more?
Steel had the lead and had possession inside the last minute and the idea should have been just to play it around and make absolutely certain of the goal. But Saviour Tui perhaps put up a shot too early, missed and Stars were able to rebound and score the equalising goal.
So here we are. The first period of extra time is over and Steel is up by 1.
Stars have it. 62-60.
Incredible. A crucial win for them, but definitely one that got away from Steel.
Great game! So good to see Fowler playing so well
Watched the second half and overtime. You just felt the Stars surge was coming, but Steel shouldn’t feel disgraced by that one.
Temu is my new favourite player.
And if Noels is fixated on a defensive centre like I’ve been seeing on here, give the bib to Heffernan.
