Thanks Kerryn for all the stats.
Our reception freezes at least twice in a quarter, every game so I am always behind the 8 ball :)

Wow didn’t realise how tall Erana is compared to Bayes/Meels. Just got a team photo sent to me. Not the best season for Magic but anyways.

Tui def showing why shes the SF under21s GS, just gets on with it and smiles it off.

Also love seeing players smiling and having fun on the court cause thats a main reason to play and i reckon you always play better when youre enjoying it. One team with the hunger the other flat as a pancake which is disappointing to watch, could’ve been a much more closer game.

A fully fit Mes and Mels combo will be lethal, i hope they stay together next year, they seem to be very comfortable together and good connections.

no worries @Maryann the cat decided to make the the 3/4 and final updates a little difficult by trying to push my laptop off my lap and laying on one of my hands – but I prevailed!!

I’ve always really liked Tui at GS – hopefully a sign for next year that Fisher isn’t coming back?? given consistent game time in GS I can see her being in the SF’s in a few years (and she is so much taller than she looks)

If Fisher doesn’t return next season, surely Tui gets the starting GS bib.

Hypothetically.. if MJA gets axed who would take the reigns at the Magic?

I would still select Ekenasio in my wider squad and squeeze every last minute to test her fitness.

I believe Tui’s 189cm, definitely tall enough to be a GS and actually 1cm taller than Fisher!

    Full time: Magic 54-43

    Mes 28/33 (85%)
    Ekenasio 25/30 (83%)
    Rowland 1/2 (50%)
    Autagavaia 0/1 (0%)
    TOTAL 54/66 (82%)

    Fisher 24/26 (92%)
    Tui 13/13 (100%)
    Heffernan 6/9 (67%)
    TOTAL 43/48 (90%)

    Assists: Wilbore 15
    Gains: Mikaere 5

    MVP: Bailey Mes (Magic)

    .

Magic finishes off the regular season well with a win, to just nudge ahead of Tactix on %.

    Final ladder:
    1 Pulse 34
    2 Stars 34
    3 Mystics 31
    4 Steel 20
    5 Magic 16
    6 Tactix 16

Now it’s time for the playoffs. Firstly Stars v Mystics, with the winner taking on Pulse in the final.

    @WeWood not the assistant!!!

there seems to be a few in the UK that aren’t returning – so maybe someone from there?

In theory McCausland-durie is only back in the interim isn’t she so Pulse will be looking for a new coach.
Mystics need a new coach with Wilson’s resignation.
Magic definitely need a new coach.

So my thoughts on the next two games – Stars to take it over the Mystics because we know how players return from covid. Brain fog is real.
Stars to take the final over Pulse unless Pulse give themselves a real sort out. This thought is based on the way Pulse played last night.

Don’t know if Meels will continue with Magic next year, lordy I hope so.
But commuting with a baby and toddler must be hellish.
And yeah Nate, I always send a silly little message to Bayes before each game about having fun and enjoying the game.

    I’m hoping Stars win GF
Surprised and a tad shocked at Steel, really thought they’d be contenders. Probably damn covids hit them.
