Both Johnson and TPSR will be looking to put their hands up! Great to see the crowds back.

              1/4 time: Stars 15-12

              Bird 10/10 (100%)
              Selby-Rickit 2/3 (67%)

              Wilson 10/13 (77%)
              Malesala 5/9 (56%)

Stars 22 shots to 13 and an incredible 8 gains from Tactix in the opening Q.

                1/2 time: Stars 31-26

                Bird 22/24 (92%)
                Selby-Rickit 4/6 (67%)

                Wilson 20/25 (80%)
                Hume 1/2 (50%)

Again, shooting accuracy is a bit off for the Stars (43 shots to 30), and that’s keeping Tactix in this one. They’ve made too many errors (13 turnovers to 1/2 time).

Is it Elley on a warning? Did she get a caution first and if not, why not?

For anyone confused – the commentators are wrong. Johnson is not on the bench, she has moved to WD. Clearly they don’t realise she has her hair in a bun today rather than the traditional ponytail.

                      3/4 time: Stars 47-40

                      Bird 29/31 (94%)
                      Selby-Rickit 11/15 (73%)

                      Wilson 31/37 (84%)
                      Hume 6/10 (60%)

A goal right on the 3/4 time whistle from Wilson extends the Stars lead to 7. They’ve slowly but surely established an advantage in this game. Can they go on with it now?

Got a feeling Steel will get up for this game. They will do it for Saunders. The home crowd will bring them home surely.

I’m sure they will do better than the 20 goal loss last time. But feel the mystics defence is to strong.

I’m sure Fitzpatrick looked very closely at the Pulse/Steel game last week.

The Mystics frustrate me only because Nweke doesn’t need practise on the lobs but developing other aspects of her game.

No Falkner and no Stythe in Invercargill. Based on this despite my picking Mystics by 2 I am now expecting the Steel to take the game. If Woulf plays like she did last weekend our shooters will have issues.
