Wilson can do the long shots she should focus on that more often.
Souness did have a strong D circle on her…
Ive worked at home games and those ball girls are told to watch the court like hawks, run for the ball when it flys out and like your playing on the court yourself, straighten up the advertising asap and run with a towel as soon as the umpire calls, sadly alot (not all) dont do as they are told, ive seen it myself and i guess the umpire was getting frustrated. I watched a steel game and the girl just watched the ball go past and didnt pick it up, Saunders had to jump over and grab it… useless
Am I right in thinking there’s currently strict covid rules that only players can touch the ball? So no staff/crowd etc?
Umpires, ball girls & players
No tv crew or supporters kinda dumb but that’s the ruleMystics

No Eke tonight
No reason for Winders, Mes and Kersten not to show their class in the midcourt.
Even the commentators are saying bring down Kersten into WA…not just us couch coaches!
Why has Mes been out for four weeks?
And anyone know if Eke is OK?
@JR she missed one due to covid, and the 4 weeks is due to postponements
Ameliarannes IG had her in bop yesterday so not sure, maybe a niggle?
They’ve tried sam at wa a few times in the past and while she’s not bad, it’s far from a strength, but it would be interesting to see Kersten there, though they do have ACD tonight who is an actual WA
This is a good game, so far. Maihi and Mikaere are doing a great job on Nweke. Faulkner hasn’t had a good start to this game.
Bailey Mes and Rowland playing well. See if this can last for the full 60mins.1/4 time: Mystics 12-11
Nweke 10/11 (91%)
Falkner 2/5 (40%)Rowland 5/5 (100%)
Mes 6/9 (67%)Great opening quarter. Magic really taking it up to the higher-ranked Mystics. Good battle between Grace Nweke and Erena Mikaere. Mikaere’s had a couple of wins so far.
ACD said there were a couple of players with injuries so may well be Eke and definitely Tong. Tongs insta today has her showing a cartoon of a foot with a broken bone in it – I’m not great a cryptic puzzles 🙂
It’s going to be an interesting game – Mikaere is causing Nweke issues so we will see how Grace comes back in the second quarter.Unfortunately, Magic has been guilty of not rewarding their defenders. So far they are 2/7 in converting gains and turnovers while Mystics are 7/8. That’s the difference!
Magic are still in this. They need to come out firing in this 3 qtr, otherwise Mystics are going to run away with it. Toeava is yet to come on too.
1/2 time: Mystics 28-23
Nweke 25/26 (96%)
Falkner 3/7 (43%)Rowland 11/12 (92%)
Mes 12/19 (63%)Mystics gradually getting on top. A lot of hesitation in the Magic goal third and Mystics capitalising, with sulu Fitzpatrick responsible for 5 possession gains in that Q.
