Yes, I shouldn’t be so harsh. It’s such a difficult time.
I just went there because TPSR’s passing in the first quarter was frustrating me and I went to the stats to check if I was imagining it…YEP! No turnovers.
One thing I would generally like on the page is that, for the SSN pages, they have the stoopid shots stat available for goalers when they’re being rested.
miaomiao22 I don’t think the problem is Tactix’ defence end. The turnovers, mostly in the attacking end this game was one problem. The other was that the goalers had a lower output and %, tho’ against Ferns’ defenders that might be fair enough to some degree.
Full time: Mystics 70-51
Nweke 45/49 (92%)
Vui 17/19 (89%)
Falkner 8/11 (73%)
TOTAL 70/79 (89%)Bird 23/29 (79%)
Selby-Rickit 22/27 (82%)
Glen 5/7 (71%)
Koloto 1/1 (100%)
TOTAL 51/64 (80%)Assists: Nathan 16
Gains: Burger, Fitzpatrick 5Comprehensive win to Mystics!
JR i actually do think that the tactix defence end are still doing decently, but last year when they had jane watson, burger looked so more comfortable and was so outstanding which gave their attackers so much more opportunities. i guess im just too used to seeing karin burger with 6 intercepts a game

Stars:
GS Wilson
GA Hume
WA Crampton
C Reuelu-Buchanan
WD Johnson
GD Temu
GK HarrisonMagic:
GS Rowland
GA Mes
WA Edgecombe
C Winders
WD Kersten
GD Maihi
GK MikaereAs much as I think Burger is the best WD around she is amazing at GD too. Physical with no let up no matter what the score.
Tactix attack end stuttered again. I wish TPSR would make some better decisions in the circle with her passing or shooting.
Mystics defence was again standout. Sulu and Phoenix looking better week by week. Nweke moving a bit more and again just looking dominant.
Enjoyable first couple of quarters though.
Oceane Maihi has left the court with a bloody nose. Magic lead 8-3 after 5 minutes.
1/4 time: Magic 14-12
Wilson 7/8 (88%)
Hume 5/8 (63%)Rowland 6/7 (86%)
Mes 8/10 (80%)Nothing much in it. After a sluggish start from Stars, they’re right in things now.
Reuleu-Buchanan is easily the in-form C of the competition. I hope Noels picks her for Comm games. Wilson and Hume are often hard to find so it does halt the play of Crampton and MRB but if you actually watch their workrate and positioning it is absolutely second to none
1/2 time: Stars 24-21
Wilson 15/18 (83%)
Hume 9/13 (69%)Autagavaia 3/4 (75%)
Mes 10/14 (71%)A good late finish from Stars sees them up by 3 at the main break. That quarter was 12-7. Anna Harrison came into her own with 3 gains in that Q.
Stars maintaining a 3-goal advantage after 5 minutes of the 3rd Q.
Anna Harrison is a freak. In a good way, that is. She’s just ageless, totally dominating this game and helping the Stars gain the ascendancy here. They’ve scored 10 in a row and lead by 11!
3/4 time: Stars 37-28
Wilson 26/32 (81%)
Hume 11/17 (65%)Rowland 9/12 (75%)
Mes 14/23 (61%)The second quarter was 12-7 and the third quarter 13-7. Magic is finding it so difficult to beat the Stars’ defence. Harrison and Temu have 13 gains between them!
Is defence in MZ particularly strong at the moment? Or are we lacking strong attack ends?
