Can’t split these teams at the moment. 10-10 after 10!

    1/4 time: NZ Men 15-12

The A team got off to a great start, up 8-5 at one stage, but the Men’s team dominated the remainder of the Q.

Weaker game for Ekanasio tonight, fatigue perhaps?

Starting to fail to see why the women are playing the men in this series set up? Yeah they trying to combat a tall shooter but seriously getting boring watching men just throw over every female player all the way down the court. Ferns will also not come up against women that tall in the defence end at all.

Series has lost its lustre for me and the game have also not been high quality from any teams.

    @JR
yeah when i read the supposed 2 travelling ferns reserves is a head scratcher for me too, not sure what the go with that is? Or if thats been a misreported thing?? No idea.

    1/2 time: NZ Men 30-24

    Vui 6/8 (75%)
    Metuarau 9/10 (90%)

    Jefferies 20/21 (95%)
    Smith 10/11 (91%)

Another Q to the Men 15-12. The teams are really making some changes at 1/2 time. All 24 players have got on court now. Let’s see what Kruze Tangira can do.

I like how it preps the ferns but I can’t help find it a little embarrassing watching the men lob it in all the time

The Men’s team has opened up a 16-goal lead in the third Q. Tangira already has 2 gains and 3 assists. From WD.

    3/4 time: NZ Men 49-33

    Ekenasio 15/16 (94%)
    Hume 3/6 (50%)

    Geldard 13/14 (93%)
    Powell 6/6 (100%)

A dominant third Q by the Men’s team. They had an incredible 9 gains in that Q alone, including 6 intercepts.

I’d really like to see a series like the con cup but with the mens teams as well. The mix invitational is the real draw this series for me. The mens team need a challenge ie Aussie men- cause this series like mentioned above is getting stale.

    Full time: NZ Men 65-44

Both teams with basically the same number of turnovers, but the big difference was in the gains. The Men’s team was able to win ball far more easily and they converted well, shooting at 93%.

I think a SF, NZa, under21s and a mixed series would be an idea. That way with a mixed they have a taste of a taller shooter and defence but its not all throughout the whole court.

And if they need to have the men for their recognition have a NZ men vs a NZa men team and have them play each other every night and not against the women.
