Is Grace Namana signed to a franchise? If not, why not???

Another great intercept by Souness! She’s just been so impressive.

Souness with the intercept and then an incredible effort to stop from going offside.

Wow, Whitney and Gina feeding Grace is just beautiful. So glad Noels has developed Wilson as GA. Not a natural GA but she’s getting better with every game. This starting line up is good, although that GD position is worrying…

    1/4 time: NZ 17-13

    Nweke 14/15 (93%)
    Wilson 3/5 (60%)

    Gerber 10/10 (100%)
    Namana 3/4 (75%)

Is this the number one Ferns lineup? Playing well. Noeline is leaving them all out there for the 2nd Q. Scherian playing well for the mixed team.

@Nachoreturn – no Namana hasn’t been picked up and I believe that she has said that if she didn’t get a contract she was going to give netball up.

Such a shame that Namana didn’t get picked up by any ANZ team. I can think of a few shooters signed for next year that are not as good as Namana…

This is a good game! The mixed team has fought back to level the scores in the 2nd Q. 25-25

The Ferns have steadied and take a five goal lead into 1/2 time. It would have been six but for a Gerber goal right on the buzzer. Once again that Crampton/Souness combo working well.

Absolutely! You’d think she would have been a great inclusion for Tactix, Pulse or Magic. A bit of a waste of talent, to be fair – and it’s reasonably telling that she’s in the mixed team over a number of other ANZP shooters (I’m assuming at the request of Taurua).

was it just me, or was Sulu well and truely out played by someone who wasn’t even considered a trialist, and someone who doesn’t even have a contract for next year? in saying that I think Namana should have a contract somewhere – this is prooving that she should – and despite the commentators keeping on saying she’s young – she’s 27 and has been round netball quite awhile – used to have quite the attitude, but seems to have totally changed in the past few years (could be a life mentality change since here younger sister passed away about 4 years ago)

Jury’s really maturing; nice to see her more vocal. When’s Jane’s back I would love to see Jury-Watson-Burger.

This is great entertainment. Both teams have stepped up the attack in the third quarter. Ferns lead 45-40 halfway through Q3.

Nweke has 41/44 and the Ferns are shooting at 90%. This is what Noeline Taurua would have been looking for. NZ leads 53-43 approaching the end of Q3.
