‼️ post game presser on Paige Hadley
Stacey – we don’t have the full update on the injury yet. She’s obviously tweaked her calf and it’s the same injury niggle she’s been working through since she picked it up in Diamonds Camp #B2022Netball

GK AGARDPoor Barbados. They can’t even successfully make it down court to their shooters. And it’s not because of the brilliance of Jamaica. They just keep making basic fundamental errors. They just got a huge cheer for their first goal of the second Q after 6 minutes. Score is currently 38-6.
Potgieter making a story on Instagram calling out Lisa Alexander’s biased opinions. Little confused as she wasn’t commentating the Aussie vs SA game???
Potgieter always seems to make quite impulsive Social Media posts. I watched half the game with the Australian commentary and half with LA and I really didn’t think she was biased. I’m not a fan of LA’s commentary but she’s always quite positive and balanced. The only comment that I guess could have been biased was when she said South Africa looked like they had gone into the match expecting to lose and that they were playing within themselves.
3/4 time: Jamaica 73-17
There is no British stream…you all get it, but we only get some of the games which have a home nation in them, not the real goodies like Uganda v NZ …boo! If we wanted to see the other games we’d have to buy a VPN. Ridiculous, and we get heaps of boring, repetitive swimming, bowls, table tennis, weight lifting fgs, yet only patchy cover of the no 1 women’s sport, netball! And we pay a licence fee for the TV we do get anyway. Plus England are the defending champions…it’s outrageous!
FULL TIME: JAMAICA 103-24

GAINS: STERLING 15@scotty there was a stream on iPlayer for Jamaica v Barbados, no? But it seems like BBC are hopefully listening to us regarding streaming all the matches and not only the home nations.
Tbh I’m not a massive fan of LA in commentary, to me she just talks a little too much and goes on tangents sometimes. But she does provide good insight
England 71-27 N Ireland
Good hit-out for the Roses, everyone except Harten getting time on court (obviously being deliberately rested – didn’t take off her training shirt and had no usual knee strapping). Lots of diff combos tested in every third on court and solid court time for usual subs (Metcalf, Mentor and Guscoth all started on the bench).
SDL had 3 good quarters at WA and GA, and Housby’s shooting has thankfully picked back up from her slow start in earlier games – 20/20!
Notwithstanding the goal diff, I didn’t think the Roses looked quite as clinical as we’ve seen them before…but it wasn’t really a testing game for them. Everyone looks to be in amazing spirits and just enjoying their time – lots of lovely shots of everyone laughing and dancing to the stadium music in the breaks, and Housby riled up the whole stadium to sing happy birthday to their team physio at the end.
V intrigued for the upcoming Uganda match up and then of course NZ B-)
Great first quarter between Malawi and New Zealand. The Malawi front line have been excellent but they just haven’t been able to transition the ball from defence when they had opportunities. It’s so difficult for them to turn ball on defence, they’re just so much shorter than Nweke and Wilson.
Fitzpatrick just doesn’t know how to defend against these aerial players. New Zealand barely turned over any ball.
Is there any live stats or championship data available on the games? I’ve missed a few games and just wanting to see them and see what happened and who got a run etc.
Ferns look sluggish and that’s being kind.
Heck, Cadbury Series even when they were getting pummeled by the men there was a spring in the step.
Is Saunders on managed monitors I wonder? Interesting we’re seeing Heffernan paired with Crampton IMO. Would be good to have Saunders in C, Heffernan at WD and try (we have not seen yet) Johnson in GD in front of Karaka. Jury and especially Fitzpatrick are flat footed.
