        1/2 time.

We could be seeing a big upset here. Uganda up by 9 at half time! 30-21. Quite incredible. SA doesn’t seem to have any answers at the moment.

Oh no. Rademan is down. That looked bad. She’s been helped off.

            3/4 time: Uganda 41-37

SA is coming back, pressing hard, and Uganda is getting jittery. They scored a goal right on the buzzer to narrow the gap to 4. I think SA will probably finish over the top of Uganda in this last Q.

Uganda looks like Australia did in the last Q against Jamaica. I’m not sure if they can hold on.

Amazing result for Uganda!!! Such wonderful discipline and composure across the whole match. Eyaru and Oyella did so much work across the whole match and I was very impressed with how Nassanga came on in such a pressure moment. Nalwanja is such a talent, she’s a bit short for GK but I think she could be a great GD or WD for a VNSL team. Uganda have so much potential when you consider how young they are and they still haven’t fully unlocked the potential of Cholhok! When she gets stronger and they have more confidence in her they could start challenging for the Top 4. I can’t wait for NWC next year, it feels like all these African teams will get a huge lift playing at ‘home’.

Such a shame to see Rademan go down like that, it definitely looked like an ACL. Work to do for South Africa in both attack and defence, but they’ll be much stronger next year with the return of Pretorius and Potgieter. They definitely look a step away from the Top 4 though.

An incredible result for netball. Coming into this tournament, there was thought that the top 5 was clearly ahead of the rest. But Uganda has just smashed that and taken that 5th place from South Africa. Amazing.

Hope you get a good sleep during the day Ian before the semis early evening here in AEST-land.

Thanks for all your great work keeping us up to date. I am looking forward to watching the mini repeats of these games before the Jam v NZ game.

I was originally planning on going to bed after the 3rd game last night. Glad I decided to stay up even longer and watch the 5th place playoff. What an upset!

Gosh, great effort. I don’t think I will be able to stay awake to watch the England v Australia SF tonight so plan to get up and watch it tomorrow morning and KEEP the radio off and keep away from Scoop too (that’s easier).

I think I’ll have to do the same for the Medal matches given their times and that I have to work on Monday. That means no radio before work or on the way home. I’m not a fan of watching a game when I know the result, so wish me luck!
