Caldwell getting a bit of attention from the umpire with giving the ball back fro Centre pass and then for getting lippy.
Metcalf with a caution, I’m shocked she’s the first one, thought it would’ve been a defender or Harten.
Mentor bemused at every call. Just simply being outplayed.
She has no answer for Bueta.
Ugh cant watch any more.
Jamaica for gold!!
Bruce feeling confident enough with the lead to go hunting which I guess is a good sign but also leaving Weston to deal with a 2 on 1 twice now.
I’d love to see Australia hold on. Wood is definitely relying on smarts now, she looks knackered.
Yeah nz have no chance at medaling, and don’t deserve too. 2 utter embarrassing matches. Noel’s take the blame and learn from it please. Fitness can only carry you so far before form comes into play. Crampton isn’t Captain material let alone a starting WA.
This whole thing of not picking form players because the played a more man on man approached- it annoyed me than and annoys me now cause we needed some of that yesterday and today. Players like Gordon and Manu’a were overlooked because of her “zone” approach. Look how well that turned out 😂 Dunn and and half the Pulse team would have done a better job. I expect their names their come con cup and Jam series. We need aggression in our defensive end- Mene, Davu, Scanlan, de bruin, Kopua, Faka, Watson all have that- the current play almost too cleanly.
Oh well, good news is, I see a redemption arch brewing for the ferns 😂 circa 2019.
Surely SM will put Klau on? They will lose nothing but give her more of a touch of the ball before the final.
What did Caldwell (supposedly) say when she got told off?
Thirlby guilty of making changes too late like DNT was in the first game. Housby should have come back on at half time and Mentor has to go off, she’s getting completely dominated.
Brazill and Moloney have been exceptional as the first line of defence. If they can apply that pressure it will be much more difficult for Dixon-Rochestor and Williams in the final.
3/4 time: Aust 45-36
CARDWELL 11/12
HARTEN 16/17
HOUSBY 9/9BUETA 32/33
WOOD 13/16If Diamonds can hold the lead, I’d like to see them throw Klau and maybe another bench player on for the last half of the quarter. These 7 will be absolutely exhausted tomorrow.
WOW I cannot believe the umpire said nothing about that. That was some really bad shoving there.
Very confused by some of Thirlby’s choices today.
I wasn’t confident about Brazill and Moloney shutting down Metcalf based on recent games but they’ve been excellent tonight.
I know the Austin/Bueta combination hasn’t been great but I’d be tempted to sub in Austin just for some fresh energy.
