Embarrassing scoreline, but hey that’s what happens when you select, players who have a nice yo-yo, but haven’t shown form all year.
Not a great game from NZ but I love an in-form TPSR! One of my favourite players when she’s playing well
33-21. Johnson on at WD. Boy, Wilson looks shaky on the shot.
DNT needs to change something, not sure Johnston is the answer
1/2 time: Jam 36-22
BECKFORD 8/8
FOWLER 28/28SELBY-RICKIT 13/15
WILSON 9/11TPSR had a long range shot on half time that rimmed out.
I think it’s too late for the kiwi’s now , such a big gap in the score and jamacia are not making many errors
Well, I’m definitely feeling better about how Australia played against Jamaica watching this. I wonder if it reassures the Diamonds players as well.
I love this Jamaican team so much. If Aus makes the final, it’s going to be tough for me to know who to go for! And if Aus ends up in the bronze medal match against NZ… it won’t be a pretty game, I imagine.
Wilson gets herself too far under the ring making shooting difficult.
JR, it’s so bizarre. It’s like a few years ago when Romelda had trouble because she was just TOO close to the ring!
Half time stats – Jamaicas put up 36 goals at 100%, NZ only 26 goals at 84.6%
Fowler continues on, very ably supported by Beckford. No centre court defence of note really excepting two turnovers – one by each of the WD Heffernan and Johnson and Johnson pretty much immediately turned possession back. If the middies can’t assist better with defence its going to be an absolutely massive blowout.
There needs to be changes in the midcourt for the ferns. The ball is getting into the Jamaican goal circle way too quickly
NZ don’t seem to have any play makers.
Surely Ekenasio at only 80% would have been better than what they are putting out now. You can’t tell me Johnson is at full fitness.
Will be interesting to see if Jamaica rest some players now. England and Australia probably won’t have that luxury.
Tani J series should be interesting, DNT won’t want to lose again and if so not by this margin
NZ has steadied somewhat but not making an impression on the lead. Jam 48-32
