        Yay! I was absolutely writing off the silver flops today- but I’m so happy for them!! Throughly deserved that win. Nweke will only grow from this. Heffernan totally earned her spot, something that’s been hard to say about their midcourt post Langman. Great game congrats girls. They actually have a chance in the series later this year 😂 Like England I expect some retirement announcements from some players, so they can leave with their head held high-ish.

        But WOW did England blow this one! Like everyone has said- the attitudes on some of the roses is something. Especially Gusgoth. Really annoying. Like someone said the crowd gaslights them and which leads to this. Lessons learned. Sad for Eboni and Stacey they don’t get to cap their careers on a better note.

            Not sure why some people keep bagging Bruce. Bruce for me is a stronger GK than Klau. Yeah, she might be a bit rough(which is basically what you need in a GK) but she can actually win more ball back than Klau.

              My comment wasn’t about her skill as a GK or even being rough – for me it is the theatrics and not always adjusting well to the umpiring/really attracting the umpire that is irritating.

              I think there are times that Klau should’ve been brought on and where she does a better job at GK. And in terms of personal preference- I prefer watching her play

                Can Australia finally break their runner up tag- or will this be their 3rd second place finish?? Interesting. At least they will know how every other team has felt at major tournaments especially the ferns 😂

                To Aussie fans- is that a failure in your eyes, if they don’t secure gold? To end this 2nd place streak?? Or is it more of a case of world netball getting more competitive? Should they be winning these golds? Hey at least your in those matches.. you could be England right now…

                  I think it’s ok for the Diamonds to win silver if they get outplayed. If we were to have a repeat of the pool game I wouldn’t be disappointed, Jamaica has been the better team throughout the tournament. If it’s because of genuine poor play though (like in 2018), that’s a bit different.

                  I always want the Diamonds to win but it would be a better result for netball if Jamaica won. I hated seeing the Diamonds lose in 2018, but seeing how the competition has improved globally and the way the quality of play has risen, I think it’s a great thing that Australia and NZL aren’t guaranteed gold.

                    Haven’t seen the game, but pleased the got a medal. Grace will be a superstar in Netball.
                    Maybe some players will think about their Ferns future. 7 tests and fast 5 left in 2022 big year still to come.

                      Well being theatrical is part & parcel of trying to win the ball back. If it works in your favour, then I say keep doing it.
                      Klau on the other hand, she needs everyone in front of her to do their job defensively in order for her to be effective.

                        Re the GB Olympic team. It all depends on what is agreed with the other home nations netball bodies. For example the GB rugby 7s is mixed team and so is the football.

                        At 2012, the men’s football team were only allowed 2 or 3 players over 23.

                          Just watched the replay, NZ finally played some good netball. Nweke didn’t let Mentors antics (which were quite annoying tbh) get to her. Karaka and Heffernan done a ton of work getting the ball through court. Glad we got a medal!!

                          Geva giving Eboni her moment was beautiful to see

                            Bruce was very theatrical when they met Jam in the group match, even LA commented it.

                            Personally I’d have Klau/Bruce/Weston why ?? Weston could potentially mark Williams out of the game or she’ll get frustrated with the close attention and that will effect the feed into JF. Moloney should be able to block DixRoc vision and Bruce will be all over Beckford 😉
