This is turning into a train wreck for the Diamonds. Turnover after turnover and ELEVEN straight goals to NZ. They lead 17-8!!!

At the 6:19 minute mark of the Qtr, Aust led 8-6. for the last 8:41 minutes, NZ went on a 14-1 run and totally dominated. They are on fire and Australia is shellshocked.

This is what could’ve happened if Bueta wasn’t absolutely firing at the CWG.

Why can I not enjoy this? I’m on edge that the Diamonds have got it back to 8!

NZ going well for the first 10 of the second quarter then appeared to lose focus. Australia coming back at them.

                      1/2 time: NZ 31-23

                      Nweke 22/24 (92%)
                      Ekenasio 9/11 (82%)

                      Koenen 12/13 (92%)
                      Austin 3/4 (75%)

Aryang, Price and Austin came on in that Q, and the changes helped stop the rot for Australia. At one stage, NZ led by 14, but the Diamonds finished strongly!

3/4 time 42 – 36 to NZ – sitting on the edge of my seat!

                          3/4 time: NZ 42-36

                          Nweke 30/32 (94%)
                          Ekenasio 12/14 (86%)

                          Koenen 20/21 (95%)
                          Austin 8/11 (73%)

Once again, Aus won that Q narrowly. They managed to close the gap to just 3 at one stage, but NZ holds a handy buffer of 6 going into the last 15 mins.

Silver Ferns reasserting themselves in the last Q. Jury, Karaka and Heffernan is like a big black wall out there. 13 possession gains between them. Only 3 for the whole Australian team. NZ 46-37

                                Oh wow – delighted.

So pleased to see that Phoenix seems to have regained the form that covid stripped off her. Good to see Johnson come on without warm up and get some ball too. That seven was looking really good.

                                  We held on ?

Geez what did Phoenix and Kelly have on their Weet-Bix this morning?

Great all round, and happy that Toeava got a full game.

Does Taurua give the start to MRB for Test 2 and say what can you do?
