Today was Day 2 of the Men’s and Mixed Trans-Tasman series in NZ…
The mixed game went to extra time…
The trans-Tasman series continues today and the 2nd Men’s match between NZ & Australia is on tonight. You can see all the games here (hopefully)…
Two days in a row, the mixed game has gone to extra time and then NZ has just dominated. They won today 68-60.
You can see the men’s game here…
1/4 time and New Zealand has started strongly. They lead 13-11 at the first break.
1/2 time: NZ 27-23
The kiwis extended their lead by another 2 goals in that Q. New Zealand playing very well. The connections that worked so well for Australia in game one, not quite there today.
New Zealand really dominating now. Picking up possession from loose Australian passing and then Levi is finishing it off. They lead 35-26
3/4 time: NZ 41-32
A nice goal right on 3/4 time for the Aussies, but New Zealand with a very comfortable lead. They won that Q by 5 goals and look set for a good victory today. This is a big turnaround from Wednesday.
Full time: NZ 56-46
The kiwis win all four quarters and take the match comfortably. A 26 goal turnaround in just 2 days. They combined very well and unlike the first test, the Aussie defenders didn’t really have an answer to Levi today. So we’re level at 1-1. The decider is in Melbourne on Wednesday.
