Okay, Fantasy netball is a bit different this year. I’m reverting to something I used to do a few years ago. This year, there are two different competitions. It’s important you read this because the rules are quite different. You can go in either or both…
.
NS FANTASY NETBALL – REGULAR COMP
This is the competition that most are used to. You can make changes to your team every week. The players’ prices change and you can buy and sell them as you wish. It’s a game of strategy as much as anything. You really need to be ready to make changes on a regular basis to stand any chance of winning. You don’t get as much money to spend on your team as you do with the season comp, but if you select and trade wisely, you can end up with a very powerful team by the end of the competition.

NS FANTASY NETBALL – SEASON COMP
This is for the people who just simply don’t have the time to keep making all the trades that are needed to win the regular comp. You get more money to spend on your team and you try to pick the very best team you can right from the start, because once the season starts, you can only make changes to your squad if someone suffers a season ending injury. That’s right. You’re locked in to your original choices. You can move players from starting 7 to bench and vice versa if you want to, but you can’t buy or sell players as you can in the regular comp. It’s all about making good choices with your initial squad.

So there you have it. Send me your teams either by PM on here, or much more simply by emailing SSNFantasyNetball@gmail.com
Here is the opening price list… https://fantasynetballblog.wordpress.com/2022/03/13/2022-opening-price-list/
And here is the scoring system… https://fantasynetballblog.wordpress.com/2022/03/13/2022-scoring-system/
Please don’t forget about this or leave it too late.
Maddie Hinchliffe is Lightning’s 10th player and she has been added to the price list.
Looking for more entries for the Season Comp.
I see it every year. Some people start out all excited and with the full intention of making trades and changing their team every week, but it doesn’t take long before they realise they just don’t have the time or commitment necessary to do that. I’ve even had people send me their teams and then just forget about them and hardly make a single change all year. The Season Comp is just perfect for those people.
Hi Ian
I have mine ready to go just waiting to see about Wallam. Do you have an idea what her starting price may be if she is added? As if she is starting at a high price I can’t afford her and will just send through what I have now.
She will be $75,000 if she’s added. She hasn’t played SSN yet, but she had a successful season in VNSL last year so she will be priced as if she’s like a UK import.
Marksa7, you’ve gone over the salary cap I’m afraid. You’ll have to make a change.
Okay guys, originally we decided that people could only go in one competition. But there’s been a change of heart. If you want to enter both, you can. So, take another look and get your entries in!
Donnell Wallam has been signed by Firebirds and has been added to the price list. If you’ve already chosen a team, you can make a change to include her if you want, but don’t leave it too late please.
Teams are in for round 1. The only change being that Ash Brazill is out for this week. Now, if you’ve got her in your team and you really want to keep her for round 2 onwards, then it’s a judgement about how good your midcourt benchie is and whether you trust them to score well for you in Braz’s place.
Not sure if this impacts anyones teams but Amy Sligar isn’t on the team list for the Giants.
Wow, okay, on the SSN site, it lists the team but it also says “In – N/A, Out – N/A”
