2022 NS FANTASY NETBALL – SSN

There are some players out this week. Most notably Price, Parmenter & Dwyer for Giants. It looks like this will happen on a fairly regular basis throughout the year unfortunately. It’s disappointing, and bad luck if you have these players. If you have just one of them in your team and you have a reliable player on the bench in that section of the court, I would say stick with what you have. But if you have more than one of those players, you maybe need to use up a trade or two to make sure your team isn’t severely weakened this week.

Unfortunately you only get the bench score from that section of the court, plus the highest of those remaining.

You can, but if a player in that section of the court is out, you don’t need to. If one of your starting 7 doesn’t play, I automatically move the bench player in that section of the court into the starting 7 to cover for you.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ

Okay, I’ve decided to make a rule change.

I must admit that Covid has disrupted SSN more than I had expected it to. It caught me by surprise. If I had known it would be this bad, I would have done things differently. Too late for that now, but not too late to make this one change…

From now on (including this round just gone), if you have more than one player out in one section of the court, you can use bench players from other sections of the court to make up your team. It might sound confusing, but it’s not really. It basically just means that as long as you have 8 fit and healthy players in your 10, you won’t be penalised. It hopefully means that people won’t be too disadvantaged by all these Covid withdrawals.

If you read James’s post further up the page, that’s what he was asking about. At the time I said no, but the Covid situation has gotten even worse since, so I’ve changed that rule now.
