I wonder if the Swifts might sign Cardwell? Playing so much at GA in VNSL has really improved her conditioning and I think she could be the experienced GS/GA slide the Swifts are looking for. Shoots well from distance during the super shot period as well. I’d be disappointed if all three Swifts shooters were imports, but she’s arguably the best GS/GA option available who would be interested in a bench contract.

Not sure she would leave Thunder and cannot see it going down well that the shooting circle is all Imports. Not sure who will be the final shooter will be. Keep thinking of Caitlin Bassett, she did train with them last year. Stanton and Gooden are without clubs. Who else?

I was so sure that Dwan would be going to Vixens but I did some creeping last night (I feel like a horrible gossip tabloid) and found it interesting that Keira Austin’s partner follows Vixens. I don’t think he follows any other clubs.
I think Smith to Swifts is 99% happening.
As for Dwan I have no idea. I’m sure it wouldn’t happen but imagine if MJ was leaving and both Dwan and Austin went to Vixens 😯.
With Ellis supposedly going to Fever am also thinking Liv Lewis could then end up at Vixens to cover Kadie (assuming she leaves).
Vix hinted that today would be a new signing announced so let’s see it that’s true.

If Vixens are announcing new signing more likely to be Dwan. wouldn’t read too much into Instagram. A lot of people are saying this but she is injured and when would she be fit, would Vixens take a gamble. loving the Smith to Swifts rumours, just what they need and feel she would be perfect fit.

Austin did her ACL in round 1. Far more likely to be fit for the season than Hinchliffe who has been recruited by a new club.

There is so much talent in NSW. Why don’t Swifts recruit locally? Would like to see Akle develop some NSW talent. For all her faults Fitzgerald has to be given huge credit for investing in the NSW pathways.

on the sports segment on ABC RN at 7.30am they said Hinchliffe was going to Fever…..with Bruce and Aryang there, that makes little sense.

These rumours are so interesting, maybe the missing piece of the puzzle is Aryang hasn’t been announced as staying at Fever. Could she be making a big move East?

Fitzgerald has done well with her NSW talent but to be honest the Giants bought most of those players. Dwyer, Letherbarrow, COB, Austin and Parmenter were all a part of the Swifts program before they got TP offers from Giants that the Swifts couldn’t match. I think the Swifts have more money for TPs and Academy players now though so it should level out over time. Swifts probably should give Singleton a contract if they can’t get Letherbarrow but the idea of a Housby/Singleton circle just seems so short. Housby is elusive though, it could work well if Singleton keeps developing.

The Swifts can’t have Bassett and Wallace. The only club I could see taking Bassett is one where their existing GS could play GA, and that’s only Lightning and Giants. Thunderbirds at a pinch.

I’d say all those players went to Giants as contracts were more likely in the short / long term. Netball careers (well all sporting careers really) are short, can’t spend too long waiting.

A Housby – Singleton circle would be very good. Housby would just have to make sure she maintains her volume to the post.

Maybe ABC are getting their Hinchliffes and their Elliss mixed up?!

I think the Swifts will go local in their shooting and sign a more established WD – perhaps Smith.
I am not sure why any defender would sign at the Fever so that they can sit behind Bruce and Sunday Aryang? Particularly when there are so many clubs where there are more opportunities for court time like Lightning and the Giants. I am also not sure why a club would sign a player who is unlikely to play at all next year? Intriguing 🤔

Vixens are announcing another signing today. Wonder who it could be? Reference Aus Post as the clue. Got to be Dwan or am I missing something, One thing is certain getting closer to finding out who might be leaving Vixens as they are getting close to full team

Hinchliffe to Fever makes no sense to me. Behind Aryang and Bruce she wouldn’t get much court time. But that also confuses me as I though Ellis was heading there too?
