Oh I forgot about the firebirds 😂 yes that makes way more sense
I’m really looking forward to seeing Dwan at TBirds.
I’d like to see Glasgow go to Lightning. Great for Diamonds if she worked on her combinations with Wood and Koenen.
I really like Glasgow as a player and never understood her move to Fever.
Vixens pretty much have confirmed what we expected about Dehaney. MJ will be there. The 10th player will be interesting. I suppose Moore is an option as she is more of a GK and Vixens have shown they will take Mannix off court but I feel the 10th player will be a local such as Lambden or Brooke Allan
Glasgow to lightning would be a great move and benefit both her and the club. It would take pressure off Steph come super shot time and allow Glasgow more opportunities at GS too, really hope it does happen
Dwan signed….wow.
Now some more thoughts on the Tbirds. I notice a comment NSA have been horrific. The story is they have no money, the Obst deal was for three years and good dollars and agreed by previous board. Her contract expires at the end of year and will not be renewed. Not a good Culture fit and too expensive to cut contract short. I suppose you need to talk to all players and NSA executives?
The Shammy signature only occurs with Latty, how does that happen at a professional club.
Orr will not get signed by Tbirds 1st 10, Blackman needs to look elsewhere, Watson to be rolled out again as TO and Williams reliant on Petty signature which hasn’t happened. I think there is still one more surprise addition. Potgeiger is not a happy either. Mcdonald jury is out.
Horjus to play majority of netball at WA. The shock value of a small GA has passed so will only role her in there for impact moments.
NSA pathway is broken, win all the youth championships from 15’s to 19’s but SASI unable to transition this talent into the future for Tbirds. Question is – is SASI developing players, are they supportive of TBirds or are players being encouraged to go elsewhere? Blackman probably is a good example, how many years at SASI, how many years as TP, what guidance and direction has she got. National squads to be announced this week even though there has been no Nationals for 2.5 years.
NSA club system broken as two clubs dominate both on the court and off. NSA have head in sand to make any changes. I bet my Tbirds scarf who will play in GF next year.
Just thoughts from a TBird fan, enjoy the horoscopes.

No mention of Austin starboard does that mean she is in?? :yahoo:
I hope so.
Can’t believe TBirds haven’t already got Williams signed. Also how has no one else signed her?!?!
If TBirds don’t want Orr I hope Vixens nab her.
I can see Lightning though looking at some of the younger players given Byrne knows them from Aussie u 21s.
Sorry for ignorance but who is Williams?
Tayla Williams – a young midcourter who has been a TP. has really shown she’s up to it when given opportunities.
I am very surprised Petty hasn’t been signed yet. when you say Williams is reliant upon Pett’s signature I assume you mean that Williams will only get a contract if Petty leaves.
also surprised, Potgieter isn’t tucked away but I guess losing Shadine might have had some impact.
Obst not getting another contract won’t surprise me. NSA has been through so many coaches in the last 5 years, even firing one mid-season.
When you say Obst locked in until end of year – do you mean 2022?
Sounds about right, otherwise we would’ve had an announcement by now.
If it wasn’t obvious already. MJ at Vixens and Dehaney to leave.
Vixens clue is lucky it wasn’t her last dance…
Last dance was the Michael Jordan docu. MJ = MJ Kumwenda. Of course she loves to dance!!
@NC1 – yes haha. I was thinking wow scandal alert if they hadn’t announced it yet.
Maybe Obst only being contracted to the Tbirds until 2022 is the reason for a few 1 year deals? Players wanting to see who gets signed as coach before committing ?
I wonder who the new signing at the vixens will be!
What’s Moore’s prefered/best position? I thought she was more a circle defender after starting a (maybe last?) season replacing Maddy Turner, but seems to be playing WD a bit more lately.
If she’s a better circle defender the Vixens would be a great fit. -
