Vixens have made the necessary changes in the mid court. Thank goodness.

        1/4 time: Fever 19-10

        Samason 1/3
        Austin 3/6

        Fowler 19/19
        Glasgow 0/1

Well, that certainly didn’t go to plan for Vixens. From 9-9, Fever scored 9 straight goals to put their stamp on the quarter. Fowler scored her (and Fever’s) 19th right on quarter time.

One good stat for Vixens … no Glasgow supershots. No shots at all… well done Jo.

Austin coming into the game now with an intercept and three settling goals. A possible change in momentum sees Dan Ryan wanting a timeout. Fever 22-15

Mundy is now on, with Watson & Moloney shifting across. After another turnover, Fever regains that 9-goal margin. Fever 27-18

I just don’t understand why any GA that plays with Fowler always passes it off, if I was the GA to Fowler I would shoot with confidence from everywhere knowing that Fowler will most likely get the rebound if I miss.

Austin crowding Mundy and Watson. Bruce getting pushy.

Fever out by 11 now after a Glasgow super shot, but Kumwenda replies with one of her own. And now another goal. Fever 32-24 as Ryan calls a timeout with 3 1/2 minutes left in the half.

Lead up to 13 now. Vixens struggling to stay in touch.

I’m glad Fever have finally honed in on the Fowler/Glasgow/ATN attack end. It just has so much potential to be lethal.

                          1/2 time: Fever 38-26

                          Kumwenda 14/14
                          Samason 2/4
                          Austin 8/12

                          Fowler 35/36
                          Glasgow 2/3

NNP at the moment is 232-104 and that’s a fair assessment of the game. Error upon error for the normally clinical Vixens, and Fever just going about their game beautifully.

Very good test of character for Vixens now. I remember their game against Fever in 2020 in the rounds, they were down heavily at halftime time. They switched Weston to GK with Eddy in GD and Smith to WD (if only they still has Allie) and came back to draw the game.

Would be a huge effort to do the same tonight. I doubt they can.

If they want Rahni to shoot super shots please start her after half time. Let her play her way in to a game.

I liked Glasgow at GA cos she went for shots and shot well. Today she’s reverted to playing feeder like so many other Fever GAs have in the past.

Anstiss having a good game. Nothing flashy but she is tight.

I’m a fever fan but if they do win this, it has that sense that vixens will come back and monster them in the final.

In saying that, they have had some close calls with their wins towards the end of the season.

It’s hard to find a Vixens player who is on top of their opponent or even on level terms with them. It’s going to take a big lift in the second half, but they are capable of it.
