    From what you’ve witnessed in the preseason who do you all think will end up on top and who will struggle?

    My ladder prediction

    Vixens
    Fever
    Swifts
    Thunderbirds
    Magpies
    Lightening
    Firebirds
    Giants

    Vixens will finish top, thunderbirds and magpies will battle for 4th spot.
    Firebirds and Giants will struggle this year.

    Hmm.
    Fever fan here so perhaps the number one spot is hopeful?

    But I also think this year could see some really exciting upsets and some really exciting new combinations.

    Based on what we saw at the team girls cup and what pre-season games I saw of the teams I almost completely agree with you @netballgirl

    Except I think maybe lightning above magpies to fight it out with Tbirds for 4th spot.

    Top 3 I am more confident in.
    Number 4 and 5 could go either way.
    6, 7 and 8 and left to fight out the wooden spoon.

    Results of Team Girls preseason comp
    Vixens
    Fever
    T’Birds
    Lightning
    F’Birds
    Magpies
    Giants
    Swifts

    Interesting three of five posters here don’t have T’Birds in the final 4.

    I think

    Vixens (not just for Team Girls, but that they won both games against each of Giants and T’Birds in preseason games)
    Fever (so many dominant players)
    Swifts (such a strong team)
    T’Birds (great to watch in Team Girls comp)
    Lightning (loss of Karla)
    Magpies (just don’t click together consistently enough)
    F’Birds (loss of players)
    Giants (loss of defenders)

    But with so much Covid still around, goodness knows.

    I put them fifth as I think they’ll just miss out on a finals gig. Will be super close though and a fight for 4/5. Dehaney, hinchliffe and Walsh will dominate

    Feels weird to have Tbirds low after TGC but I just don’t think they will know how to use Dwan and Horjus and be effective enough to win tight games
    Same thing with Lightning. With T Hinchliffe back they now have a headache of Dehaney, Walsh and Hinchliffe in the circle and they didn’t rotate well enough in shooting circle last season with Proscovia so not sure they can do it in the defence end this year
