This is a great battle now. It’s just goal for goal. 49-49 It’s all going to come down to crucial gains and turnovers.
A wild pass from Batcheldor. That could be a big turning point. Swifts with 5 in a row to lead 53-49. And now another turnover!
Now Wood and Batcheldor in the circle together to try to win it with super shots. And Wood has scored 2 in a row. Swifts 56-53 with 3mins left.
SWIFTS WIN IT!!!
What a finish!
An incredible end to that game. Bridey Condron rebounded Swifts’ shot, but unfortunately, her pass back in court was snapped up by Swifts, and Housby sank the winning goal in the dying seconds.
I’ve never seen so many offensive contacts in a single game. That was too close for comfort.
In that last power play, there were seven super shots landed. Amazingly, Sophie Fawns tried to make it eight with 12 seconds left when a regulation goal would have done. But luckily for her, it didn’t cost the Swifts who got the win and fight on. Bad loss for Lightning.

Vixens 8-1 after 4mins and unsurprisingly, Dan Ryan wants a word with his players.
Not sure who the back up to Simmons would be? Cosh or Pitman? Or Eagland could be quite steady there.
Chelsea should have started. Hopefully she comes on in the 2nd qtr
