1/4 time: T’birds 20-16
Potgieter 12/12
Dwan 7/8Wallam 12/12
Bueta 4/5What a turnaround. This Tbirds team is just so far removed from the team we’ve been used to. Everything is clicking, they’ve got 4 gains and converted every one. That has always been their problem
How is it the one good start to a game we have all season and I can’t even watch it 😩😩😩
Turnovers are currently 7-3 against Firebirds. Once again they look chaotic out there. Tbirds are capitalising today. They lead 24-17
Wow, how good is Latanya Wilson? Such closing speed!
Mia Stower is on for the Firebirds and she’s landed 2 super shots. But a penalty right on halftime means Tbirds win the quarter.
I didn’t think anyone was capable of outshining Sterling in the defensive end. Enter Wilson- she’s in just about everything!
Live stream sorted… a half too late 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
3/4 time: Tbirds 52-47
Potgieter 32/32
Dwan 18/24Bueta 23/24
Stower 6/12So, can Firebirds dig themselves out of this hole? Wallam has come back on now. And can Tbirds keep up this incredible composure they’ve shown today? Only NINE turnovers in 3 quarters!
Thunderbirds have just gone past their highest score for the season. And still 10 minutes to go!
This is easily the best game Dwan has played for Tbirds.
Seriously, where has this Thunderbirds team been for the past 6 weeks or so? This is reminiscent of how they played in the Team Girls Cup that had so many people predicting big things for them this year.
Tbirds win!
That was a very disappointing display from Firebirds, but take nothing away from Thunderbirds. They’ve dominated this game from start to finish and played at a level worthy of a top 4 team.
Unsurprisingly, Latanya Wilson is the player of the match… 5 gains, 3 intercepts, 10 deflections, and 4 pickups!
